I Am Alive Challenge : December 14 2024

Work Saturday but no work for me as I went to school. There was no class last week due to the elections and tensions of the unknown. Some of the lecturers and students were working with the electoral commission and others were also reps of the various political parties at the various polling stations.

Thankfully, the elections went on smoothly and we can all return to school peacefully. It would have been a different issue if things didn't go as planned. I thank God for peaceful and successful elections.

Back to class and various issues popping up. Some lecturers are not coming because they have not been paid. The school owes them, not the government. The school administrators are saying there is no money while they expect the lecturers to continue coming to class.

Those of us in weekend school pay fees differently from those in regular school. The school takes a porting of the fees because we are using their facilities. The lecturers are lamenting that it's not fair because the school takes half and shares the other half among the lecturers.

This weekend will be the last weekend in school before we go for Christmas break. After the break, most of the lecturers will be holding their mid-semester exams. Thank God for everything and hoping for more.
