In Seattle street art is everywhere, it is on sides of the buildings, on boarded up store fronts of which there are a lot in Seattle, particularly after Covid.
Some of the art is highly sophisticated like the piece above and some is more of the traditional graffiti type. And sometimes it is a combination of the two. I wonder if some of the art was painted first and then painted over by the kids with spray cans like in the image right below.

Some of the pieces are made by international artists like the piece by a Mexican artist that was created with collaboration between the city of Seattle and a Mexican embassy here to promote better understanding of the Latin culture as well as an effort to revitalize the Seattle downtown in 2024.
Here is the image by Victor Melendez in celebration of the Hispanic heritage month:

This piece is actually quite massive and it is hard to convey the size of this art piece in my cell phone snaps:

There are also some writings that don't even qualify for a graffiti in my mind, but they do seem to carry political messages like the image below:

I captured these images on my short walk from the office to a store to do some last minute Christmas shopping:

The walk also served as a warmup for my weight lifting workout.

Some of the real art also serves as a memorial message, for example this alley art piece:

And here is an example of the art painted on the sidewalk:

We had a picnic in the office today, I moved my in office day from Wednesday to today in order to take part in the picnic.
Surprisingly a lot of my coworkers decided to refrain from attending the in office picnic and actually come over tomorrow on their regularly scheduled day, or they might be taking early Christmas vacation already.

I am going to take the rest of the year off starting this Friday.
As you can see from the art piece above quite a few art pieces have Seattle themes and feature prominent Seattle land marks such as the Seattle Space Needle.

And this image has a marketing message of advertising Seattle as a place to visit and is also featuring the Great Wheel of Seattle.

The art is literally everywhere even on and in front of active businesses, for example on the wall and in front of Chipotle restaurant.

And on McDonalds restaurant. I don't recall seeing all this art prior to the pandemic, either I have not paid attention or this is now really in fashion.

Today was also the last day of the Splinterlands season. I will dive into the analysis of my season performance tomorrow.
Splinterlands launched their Winterfest event that is going to run for the next two weeks. I think they have a great idea and it is a similar concept to what Call of Duty Heroes had before it was shutdown by Activision. I used to play that game a lot before Splinterlands.

Also about a day left to get your Dar Gottem Gearnut voucher promo card. I got a few of them as it is a very unique card that is playable even at level one.
It also runs quite expensive in the market, so make sure not to miss it.

They are all pretty cool besides the politics writings which are just vandalism for me despite any message written... Interesting the painted walk paths, these are new to me!
Seattle has a strong protest culture, I guess that is why someone felt the need to protest against immigration arrests...
I wish I was artistic. These sorts of things always amaze me. Being able to visualize it and the bring it to life is truly a gift.
For sure...
Sounds like everyone is gearing up for the holidays my friend, hope you have a very merry Christmas!!🤗
