Today was a Fathers day holiday and I am one happy father! The image above is what my wife gave me for father's day. It is a nice set of grilling tools for our Whidbey Island home as well as thermometer so that I always know the exact temperature inside my steak and not just judge how ready the meat is by using my tap method.
She also gave me a nice bottle of Kentucky bourbon. I probably had this bourbon at a restaurant before, but I have not had a bottle of it at home before.

Today our son came over and brought a box of my favorite doughnuts. To be exact it was apple fritters, but they usually sell those at the doughnut shops so I call them doughnuts 🍩
We had a nice weight lifting workout together and he shared with me his latest news at work and what is happening with his visit next month to Great Britain.

His girlfriend lives in Great Britain, so he is going over for a month to live with her there. He is taking a week of vacation, one week of the whole company shutdown and her is going to work a couple weeks remotely from there.
They are also planning to visit London and a few other places while there. It sure is interesting to see him embrace traveling to another country as he was always a stay at home type. Having a girlfriend does wonders to men...

He also brought a really nice card for me for the Fathers day as well as a gift card. Our daughter gave me an amazing picture frame that she has handcrafted for me with the sea glass that we found during our visits to Whidbey Island as well as some shells from there as well as some semi precious red stones from her stone collection.
She also glued on some golden round beads as she knows that my favorite colors are red and gold. The picture inside the frame is the three of us in Maui, Hawaii. We are standing by the famous Blowhole that you can see in the picture below:

We had wonderful meal all together today. I grilled USDA Prime Ribeye steaks and my wife made mashed potatoes and Ukrainian salad from tomatoes, cucumbers and dill with sunflower oil imported from Ukraine.
We talked, drank black tea and opened some collectable Halo cards that we recently received from United Kingdom. One of those cards was designed by our son, so that was nice.

My wife was also lucky that her pack of collectable cards turned out to be a God Pack which means that she got a full collection of Holographic cards, while usually you get only one random Holographic card per pack. So that was exciting!
Overall it was a really fun and filled with happiness Fathers day for me! I am proud of my children and my wife!

STOPSounds like a great day. I am not a father, but my day was pretty crappy. I'm glad there was some joy out there in the world.
