Hamburg Day 3 - Finkenwerder and Birthday... my training diary entry from September 13 2026

Hi Actifitters,

it was my brother-in-law's birthday yesterday, and the plan was to go out for dinner in the evening. Unfortunately, something came up, and the plan to eat out fell through. Instead, we celebrated in a relaxed setting at my brother-in-law's home. We had cake, sparkling wine, and delicious Thai food.

By the time we arrived, I actually wasn't hungry anymore, as I had previously taken a short boat trip to Finkenwerder to try the fried fish at the restaurant by the pier. The fish was tasty enough, but it didn't exactly blow me away. Still, it’s fun to work your way through the various spots in search of the best battered fish.

Mission 80 (Day 77 = ? / Goal = 80.0 kg / Initial weight = 90.0 / Total loss = ? kg)

I’m actually starting to get a bit worried about my weight. My stay here in Hamburg feels like one big fattening-up session; I feel full all the time. But hey, that’s all part of a vacation, isn’t it?

We’re heading out again today to try the next Backfisch (fried fish). This time, we’ll check out the Landungsbrücken area and grab a bite wherever it looks tasty. Later this afternoon, we’re accompanying my nephew to his physiotherapy appointment, and afterwards, we’ll likely stop by to visit the family again.
