for me first of all relationship first is not about self alone at that point you also consider the feeling of the other person before anything because whatever you do or didn't do can affect the relationship either positively or negatively...

in the matter of genotype in relationship I know a lot of people would want to care less it because of love and years spent together but outside that please think of the lives of those innocent children that will likely become victim of your decision now in ignoring the signs, at this point the decision is beyond both of you to stay or work out of love the unborn children also have a say on it...

don't bring them to suffer because of your selfish reasons moreover you too will suffer it financially, emotionally and psychologically ....

Ending romantic relationship bcos of incompatibility in genotype is best choice ever, Love is suppose to be a beautiful things, now testing the weight of love by bringing in worries and problems is not advised at all, just like when God told us that even when He watches over us , we should also be careful, tell me someone testing the power of God's protection by playing with petrol and fire, will God protection cover him?? So ,it's just a typical example of bringing a child that will be in pain for the years he will use on earth and putting you both the couple in problem.

Once you already in talking stage, it is very important to ask genotype before anyone falls deeper in love .
Well, another thing that's possible is if they agreed on not birthing but I see that as selfishness, God said we should multiply, everyone will see their compability, so everyone should go for someone that they are both compatible

I believe ending a romantic relationship because of incompatibility in genotype is a very good and wise decision. Love is indeed powerful, but it goes beyond just that, a lot of things now needs to be checked and balanced so as not to make certain mistakes or regret later in future, and genotype is one of those things that needs to be addressed. No matter the years, the memories and all that you may want to think of, it's best to just let it go.

As long as both partners carry genotypes that are not compatible(AS+AS), it's sure that they would have children with same or even a more worse cell disorder(SS). And that will lead them to having various issues from financial burdens, to health problems, to emotional stress and all.

And if those partners do not want to think about themselves, maybe they are blinded by love, they should at least think of the children they would bring into the world.

So, before going deep into a relationship, make sure to visit the hospital/lab to run a test, go for counseling and the likes. But then again, if such people still decide to stay together, I would suggest it's best for them to consider going for adoption...for their sake and for their finances sake...

I feel checking your genotype before drowning in love saves more tears. Because emotions aside, you are bringing other innocent beings to suffer if you don't end the relationship. So it is very important and necessary to check it and end the relationship if occasion demands.

Save yourself and your future. Birthing carriers, nurturing and caring for them isn't easy peasy. You may loose yourself in the process. So walk, if you notice the incompatibility of your genotype. Don't let love blind you o cos this same love will be tested beyond limit.

Don't even wait to fall in love before knowing each other's statuses. That should be one of the first things to discuss during talking stage, so you'd know the way forward.
