Planting of paddy Laborers stand in water for hours and plant small seedlings Labor: This work is physically very hard because one has to work continuously in the sun water and mud Collective cooperation: In villages, families and villagers often do this work together which also strengthens social ties
Rice cultivation is a labor-intensive but blessed process The hard work of workers and the dedication of farmers produce this crop which is an integral part of our food economy and culture This labor reminds us of the sacrifices and hard work that go into our daily food
