This Year is Starting Very Unusually. Will we see SPS at Ten Cents and Hive over a Dollar in 2026?

Today was a very nice Sunday. I had a very good weight lifting workout, did some vacuuming around the house and went to Costco.

This has resulted in over fifteen thousand steps and I am definitely feeling the effects of multiple sets of weight lifting exercises. I even added three sets of kettle bell swings at the end of the weight lifting session today.

Lots of interesting news after the start of the new year. After the Venezuela news where Maduro was extracted by the American soldiers, we had a meeting of our president with the executives of the top oil companies.

It doesn't seem like any of the oil companies are interested in making new investments in Venezuela. This probably means that USA will have to get more involved in Venezuela to provide more security guarantees and governance stability before anyone really thinks about new investments there.

Now we have major protests in Iran and talk of potential American support for regime change in Iran. That would be interesting to have a second country that is a Russia ally to have a change of top leadership this year.

It would be very good to turn two countries that were the enemies of America to become our allies. Particularly Iran that is suspected of trying to develop nuclear weapons capabilities.

I also saw interesting claims that our soldiers used some new weapons in the raid on Venezuela. In addition to knocking out electronic and electric devices that is probably responsible for the lack of air defenses from Venezuela, there are also reports of drones and new weapons that had extreme precision and firing rates.

Additionally there are reports of sonic weapons used against the Maduro guards that have incapacitated the enemy and probably were the reason why there were no casualties on our side. Very interesting stuff and a huge contrast with the special military operation in February 2022 in Kiev when Russia launched airstrikes and swarms of planes and helicopters that were mostly eliminated by Ukrainians.

I wonder if we will see another military operation by American forces in 2026. One thing seems certain investments in military are going to continue throughout this year.

In general it seems to me that this year is going to be a very good year for American economy. Not only the current administration is very interested in making sure everything looks great for the mid term elections in November, it seems that they are putting the right conditions in place for a great year in terms of economy.

The major components of the inflation data are housing and oil prices, those two are set to fall big time this year. House prices have been soft since 2022 and now new home builders are starting to move beyond the rate buy down and are actually cutting new house prices. Lower house prices means lower inflation.

Lower inflation numbers means lower interest rates and more risk appetite. More appetite for risk means more interest in crypto. Bitcoin seems to be bottoming out and is staying above ninety thousand.

SPS is holding at point eight of a cent, which is probably due to the mini set coming out this February. Splinterlands is doing really good at this time and if the appetite for risk is going to come back we might see SPS reach one cent.

If we see an altcoin season later this year there is no telling how high SPS and Hive might go. I am thinking that a ten cents SPS is not out of the question. Hive might see values close to a dollar as well.
