First Day of 2026

First day of 2026 and I got my first weightlifting workout of the year in. It helped me get to over thirteen thousand steps.

Etherium is over three thousand once again, I think 2026 will be a big year for Etherium. I wouldn't be surprised if we see Etherium double or triple this year.

The image above is one of the pictures I took of the sunrise over the Puget Sound during our latest trip to Whidbey Island. I think it represents the start of a new year and all the possibilities of crypto going even more mainstream.

Sentiment in crypto and altcoins in particular is terrible right now. This is a great time to accumulate and Black Rock is building the future of mainstream finance on Etherium.

I think we will see a lot of interest in Etherium this year and money switching from silver that looks like it is going through a topping process where it might put in multi year high into Etherium and other leading altcoins like Solana and ONDO Finance.

A lot of people are still thinking crypto is a scam beyond the Bitcoin and that means that we don't have the real mainstream adoption. There are also new Etherium staking ETFs coming this year that will make Etherium ETF investing more attractive to a whole new class of institutional investors.

Splinterlands finally set a date for the next mini set presale to February 10 which is just about a month away from now. Since packs will be priced in SPS and DEC we could expect positive price action in SPS and DEC getting closer to peg value.

This means that SPS and DEC could be an interesting play to make around 20% profit in just a month time frame. We have seen that many times in the past and I don't see why it would be different this time.

We are also just hours away from the weekly Fortune Draws in Splinterlands so don't forget to get all your entries in. I like to make sure that all the daily entries are in and I like to buy some chests with glint right before the draw.

The laat season just ended a couple days ago so I still have plenty of glint left. I like to spread it over and get more energy through chests to make sure that I get all my daily Fortune Draw tickets by winning fifteen battles per day.

The days around the new year brought us some new tools on Hive, I saw a couple new Hive Wrapped tools that provide a nice annual summary of the activity on Hive and today I saw a new tool for tracking Hive Powerdown.

I still have to explore that one a bit more but it looks interesting. I also saw a new bridge come out from one of the consensus witnesses. Looks like it provides a way to transfer hive to Etherium chain. It is good to see all the new tools coming out on Hive even if they are looking somewhat small. It shows that the chain is still alive which is good during the altcoin bear market we are in.
