I had wanted to take on this challenge for a long time, as I had never walked so close to the lagoon in front of our community. This lagoon is called Taiguaiguai, located in the state of Aragua in Venezuela, and although it looks beautiful and seems natural, it is man-made.

I always pass by in my car or on the bus whenever we leave the community to go to the city centre. Walking along its shore is not a common route because it is dangerous due to the national road and motorway nearby. I think it would be a very good idea to create paths for cyclists and runners, as the view is wonderful, but I suppose the authorities are not interested in taking advantage of some resources and benefiting from tourism and recreation for the population.
I asked my brother to accompany me on the walk, as I was afraid to do it alone. It took us 40 minutes to walk from home to the lagoon and the same to return. I always thought it was very far, but now that I am walking frequently, I feel that everything is close by.

The morning was wonderful. We returned revitalised, and I felt renewed. Unlocking goals and dispelling myths allows you to live life to the fullest. I hope you enjoy the photos as much as I did.
