I had a pretty big day on the roof doing some pointing repairs yesterday. I thought I was being careful taking it easy, drinking lots of water, protected from the sun. But I woke up feeling rubbish.
This is the second time it has happened this month. Feeling drained and tired but not sick. @consciouscat and I came to the conclusion that I just must have done too much and sweated more than I could drink. I am going to add a bit of salt to my water bottle and see if that helps as if I was doing an ultra running event or iron man.
It was interesting to check my heart rate, and it was 20 beats higher than normal all morning, even though I did nothing except take it as easy as possible.
Then bang all of a sudden in the afternoon. I felt better, and the heart dropped back to normal. I just needed a bit of a rest. I will have to make it easier on the big jobs at home as I am not as young as I used to be.
Activity count was right down for me today. I only managed the afternoon stroll after taking it easy most of the day.

I'm glad you're doing both things: 1. Upping your salt intake and 2. Working on the roof in shorter chunks, earlier in the day. Very glad !LOL because I !LUV you rather a lot, mister!

What's your max temperature at the moment in January?
Only like 36 degrees Celsius but the humidity the last couple of days has been terrible.
That's still quite hot. Plus bad humidity... basically sounds like Durban here.
