I was running along one of the single tracks in our local nature reserve when I had to stop for a bearded dragon lizard standing perfectly still. It must have been trying to eat a caterpillar when I came along, which made the lizard freeze. The only moment I could see was the caterpillar crawling over the lizards body. You can just make out the black caterpillar on the lizards head.
I got a but closer for a better photo and the lizard started to puff it self up defencely. As I moved along the path, it opened its mouth like it was going to attack, but he or she just rolled it head as I passed, keeping a close eye on this weird human out jogging with his camera phone.
Most of the rest of my activity count came from working on my roof at home an afternoon stroll.

That's really cool! I love lizards. It must have been tormented by the caterpillar being on its head where it couldn't reach it.
I think the caterpillar may have been eaten as soon as I left!
The bearded dragon lizard looks very scary, and it looks even more scary when it puffs out its cheeks. This reptile is poisonous.
