My Actifit Report Card: January 10 2025

The parkrun set bag. We are on a roster system for this particular volunteer job. We get the bag during the week before our turn. Sometimes, we pick it up. Other times, it gets dropped it over. I have even ridden my bike or run to get it and turned it into a bit of a workout.

We know this course pretty well, but to somebody new, it would be easy to get lost if they took a wrong turn. So we check the course and put out directional markers early in the morning just before starting time.

The best thing about this volunteer job is that you still get to run the event, even if it is with heavy legs, because you have already done the whole course before standing on the start line.

We hand the bag to the tail walker volunteer who walks behind in last place and collects everything we put out.

I usually get a decent activity count when doing this volunteer job
