My Actifit Report Card: May 3 2026

Hey Actifitters,

Yesterday was mostly about yard work, so not very exciting, and also not giving much photo opportunities. It took me longer than I thought, especially because I started much later than expected, because of the Pistons game 7 of the first playoffs round. I just couldn't miss it. It was funny, every break, time out or whatever, I was in the yard to pick up a few branches and make everything ready for the mowing. I also went to get gas during half time, trying to really optimize the time. By the way, it was a great game, and the Pistons won, they're going to the next round against the Cavs. Another tough series probably. Anyways, after starting so late, I ran out of time to finish the entire yard, and had to keep part of the backyard for later. At least the front yard is mostly done, and the city shouldn't complain. During the first part of this, when I was going back and forth between the yard and the house to watch the game, the sisters wondered what I was doing. Of course, when the mower started, Le Chat disappeared, while Kaia wanted to follow but had to stay in the distance.

Found some morels, almost mowed them over actually. Every year, I get a few, but this year they were in a different location, and they are much bigger. I'm thinking they might be the false poisonous ones, I'll check carefully before I do anything.

When we finally went for our daily walk, it was already getting dark.

I didn't feel much like walking really, but Kaia had been very patient and needed a decent walk.

We stayed mostly in the small forest though, that was enough after a busy day.

We just added one final loop in the neighborhood, just for a few more steps.

And that was it for the day's activities. Like I often said, yard work is really not something I enjoy, but it needs to be done sometimes. Since I haven't finished, ll have more to do, but probably next week end.
