Core stability and a nice evening... my training diary entry from September 23 2026

(edited)

(I took this photo from the highest point of our hike last Saturday. The view from the observation platform was truly amazing.)

Hi Actifitters,

after a bit of a break, core stability training was back on the agenda yesterday. Since Garmin had recommended a rest day, it worked out quite well, as this type of workout is fairly light.

On top of that, I spent an hour pedaling at 180 watts and, of course, got in my mandatory daily steps.

Mission 80 (Day 87 = 85.5 / Goal = 80.0 kg / Initial weight = 90.0 / Total loss = 4.5 kg)

Unfortunately, I’ve put on a few grams since yesterday. But then again, there is a very good and lovely reason for it. Thanks to a stroke of good luck, I ran into an old neighbor yesterday whom I hadn’t seen in years. We spontaneously decided to go out for Greek food that evening. Since we had so much to catch up on, we sat there for quite a while, enjoying a beer or two and an ouzo or two. I think that’s a lovely reason to justify a few extra grams on the scale.

After last night, I’m not exactly at my peak fitness-wise. Nevertheless, I’ll be tackling reverse pull-ups and a few dumbbell exercises again today. Whether I’ll still have enough left in the tank for a cycling session afterwards remains to be seen.
