Hamburg Day 4 - The next fried fish test... my training diary entry from September 14 2026

Hi Actifitters,

yesterday, it was time for the next stop on my quest for Backfisch (battered fried fish). AI recommended a fast-food chain called Jolly Fish, located in a shopping center in the Hamburg district of Wandsbek. And indeed, I got the most delicious fried fish here—the best I’ve tried in Hamburg over the past few days. It’s just a shame that it was fried in standard breading rather than beer batter.

Afterwards, my wife and I accompanied her nephew to physical therapy. While he was being straightened out there, we went shopping for dinner. My sister-in-law cooked a delicious meal, and we spent the rest of the evening there.

Let's just leave the whole calorie and weight issue aside for now. It’ll be bad enough when I step on the scale again the day after tomorrow.

There’s another serving of battered fish on the agenda for today. There’s supposed to be a fish shop just around the corner that serves hot meals at lunchtime. Let’s see if the battered fish there is as delicious as AI claims.
