Hamburg Day 1 - Arrival, check-in, and family visit... my training diary entry from September 11 2026

Hi Actifitters,

after my wife and I took the train to Hamburg quite early yesterday, there was unfortunately no time left for a workout.

The train journey went smoothly, and apart from a 25-minute delay, there was nothing to complain about. We checked into the hotel around 4:30 p.m. and freshened up. Then we headed to the supermarket around the corner to stock the hotel fridge.

Afterwards, we headed to "Soulkebab" for dinner. It’s a fantastic spot serving Turkish specialties. We ate so much there that we felt like falling asleep right on the spot.

Since I was still a few steps short of my daily goal—and feeling a bit guilty about all the food—we decided to walk over to visit my sister-in-law and her family. That way, we covered about 5 kilometers. It's a shame that Actifit has once again failed to count 6,000 steps.

We had a really lovely evening with the family before heading back to the hotel around midnight—though this time by public transport.

Mission 80 (Day 75 = ? / Goal = 80.0 kg / Initial weight = 90.0 / Total loss = ? kg)

The scale won't see me again until after the short vacation. One thing is certain, though: I’ve definitely put on weight because of that lavish dinner. ;)

Since my wife is currently in bed with pain—women's issues—I don't yet know what today will look like. However, I suspect that a family visit is definitely on the agenda.
