12km of Silence & Sky
Sundays are sacred. Not because I’m religious, but because I religiously protect them from chaos. And today, I cashed in that peace for a 12km forest loop around a quiet lake.
It started with that soft, golden kind of sunshine that makes everything feel like a fairytale. I was ready to do slow-mo spins like I was in a shampoo commercial. But nature had other plans. Within 30 minutes, the wind kicked up, the clouds rolled in like they had beef with my mood, and the temps dipped faster than my motivation on leg day.
But here’s the thing, I still loved every second. The mirror puddles? Unreal. The leaf-littered trails? Dreamy. That cold breeze? Okay, maybe not love-love, but it made me walk faster, so win-win.
12km later, I’m back with flushed cheeks, a phone full of dramatic shots, and a reminder: even when the skies turn grey, there’s magic in the mess.

That was a fantastic walk... I would range your photos from dreamy to horror movie scene... 😃 I mean, not in a bad way, photos are magnificent, but for some reason, my brain pictured teenagers running from a chainsaw killer on that road through the forest... 😃 (too many horror movies in childhood! 😂)
