Walking the Violin Church & Medieval Streets
Today wasn’t about routine paths or predictable scenery. Instead, my steps unfolded in France, beginning with one of the most unusual churches I’ve ever seen—designed in the shape of a violin. Yes, you read that right: a violin. Its curved brick lines and dome-like towers gave it both elegance and playfulness, as if the building itself was meant to be a symphony in stone. Walking around it, I couldn’t help but wonder how many centuries of music and voices had once filled its walls.
But the day didn’t stop with the church. From there, we wandered into a village that seemed to have pressed pause on time since the Middle Ages. Narrow lanes, half-timbered houses, and a quiet rhythm that modern life has long forgotten—it all made the walk feel more like stepping into a storybook than checking off daily steps.
The best part? I wasn’t walking alone. There was laughter, a wheelchair turned into a race car, and the kind of shared adventure that makes history feel alive again.
