Walking into Hive Energy

Today was one of those days where my step counter cheered louder than I did — 14,000 steps. Half of them were along my familiar canal, where the trees lean over like they’re eavesdropping on the water, and the clouds look like they’re one grumble away from rain. It’s my meditation zone, a place where I can walk off thoughts and turn miles into clarity.

The other half of those steps? A whole different scene! Aachen, where #hivesummitaachen brought together an energy that could light up the church itself. Meeting familiar names in real life like @detlev was a highlight, but the real treasure was discovering so many new connections. Conversations ranged from the future of blockchain and Web3 to how many German beers equal one Belgian. (Spoiler: math gets fuzzy after round two.)

What struck me most today was the contrast: the stillness of the canal mirrored against the buzzing energy of Hive people connecting. It’s a reminder that progress, whether in fitness or community, needs both. You need the quiet grind and the loud spark.

Tomorrow promises more names, more stories, and probably even more steps. For now, though, I’m happy to rest my feet and let the memories of cloudy skies and cathedral lights carry me off to sleep.
