Hello everyone, my beautiful hive naija people, it's another beautiful weekend and we are so happy to have you here once again. It’s another weekend to buzz the hive blockchain even as we connect with ourselves. It’s just feel good to get everyone together every weekend to talk about random things and just have fun.
OBJECTIVE
As we all know, Sam`s Hangout is focused on promoting the togetherness of the Nigeria brethren through engagement and it's also now concerned of the well being of each and everyone who is part of the engagement. This account was opened to make the engagement more personal and official. Weekend engagement every weekend on Hive was originally created by @ galenkp as he founded the Weekend-Engagement community and initiative. I thought it would be nice to have a weekend engagement too in a Nigerian way for everyone that cares to be a part of it.

Happy Sunday people of the hangout.
Yes, I went to Church today. We did a kind of Christmas carol.🙂 It was nice service, something different from the usual. The emphasis was on the birth of Jesus Christ and the significance. Several ministrations during the service pointed to that.
After that, was just home and resting cos I have nowhere to go and eat Sunday rice. 🥱

I went to church as usual and it was a short sermon but powerful which was about salvation.
In this time where different things are happening and people are tempted to backslide, we must ensure that our salvation is still intact.
I'm home now and not heading anywhere but I'm waiting for @nkemakonam89 for our outing cos we have plans 😀😉

People of God, how una dey?
It's good to be back after a long break from all social media platforms. A decision I took to reshape my sanity after some folks used the social media to almost destroy my reputation. It's a long story for another day but it's fine to be back already.
Toast To I New Path To A Good Life
In the course of the years I stumbled on a new side hustle that made it look like life can be better and easy.
I helped someone to get a property around town and my commission was a little bulky. I was so surprised. Getting a 10% commission for such a sale was a huge break for me.
However, my comrades have once implored me to try out sales of property but I had shoved the idea aside because I thought of the troubles of looking for buyers.
Then came an opportunity. A federal university was moved to my locality and students started combing all nearby streets to the institution for accommodation. I swung into action to source for available accommodation as became a link between that house owners and the interested students. It is a profitable venture to say the list.
Before you knew it, I ventured into land and landed property. My salary job is now looking like secondary. In the middle of the year, due to some heavy amount of money involved in the transaction, I was advised to open a company which I did and today, I am glad that I took the opportunity.
My people, kindly take you tumbler of juice, wine or water and let's all toast to this new horizon, a chapter that opened my eyes to opportunities.

Well, one of the things I would love to make a toast for this year is life itself. Yea, the year actually showed me some pepper. But here I'm today, being grateful. Another thing I would raise a glass for is an addition to the Afolayan's family. It's definitely worth raising a 🥂 for.
Also, as a serving corp member, I doubt if the 77k will be enough to do oblee this December o 😁. Just joking though. To me it won't be that kind of detty, but then, not dull. So my highlight of the year is finally starting my dream bussines this October ..it just like a burden lifted up....just in a baby stage anyway but so far, so good..I am grateful for the little beginning and for many other things God is reshaping for my good.

If I'm not greatful for this year, I will be an ingrate, I didn't achieve all my plans for this year but I cover some and the fact that Im alive,hale and healthy to end this year,when God might have taken my life or made me incomplete body part through a fatal accident I had this year, needs a million appreciation to God.
My family are all complete,going through and from, despite the bandits issue in the country 🙏🙏.

Hi guys, this year has been a rollercoaster of emotions and happenings for me , I cant say there's an highlight I would like to toast to, but one thing I will surely toast to is life, the gift of life, as they say "na who gives up, fuck up" so I'm extremely grateful that I and my loved ones are alive. That's one highlight I will forever be grateful for.
Whether I do detty or dull December, the koko is that I am well, my kids are healthy, my parents and siblings are fine, my friends are Okay, that's all that matters for me.

This year has been a ride, and truly, I'll say my hands found work to do! I got some nice gigs and upskilled in at least two areas of interest, and that made me really happy because I've always loved to know one or two about everything! And I raise a toast to that resilience.
But even more, I'm raising a toast to great mental health. When I made an introductory post on Hive in November, I mentioned how much I struggled mentally in the past few years. But this year, my mind was like a calm sea. My home and family made me feel even safer this year, and I'm so glad I've been able to reclaim my mental health again. There's still more work to do, but for now, cheers to me and to the friends who create a safe space for me to come just as I am!🍻

I had about 4 marriages and 1 funeral to attend.

Well, all the best. This kind of events reminded me of when I used to attend owambe with Andrew Liver Salt to fasten the digestion process of what I had consumed earlier.
My Saturday is currently saturdaying with a push to go out to an event. So thank God I'm not indoors throughout today

It's a very busy Saturday here, I have been so busy and network have been really terrible.
No Owambe, hopefully next week I would attend one.

The Party Jollof Is One In Town
Ok! Today of all days is one of such moment when you have to cruise and lit the jollification mode.
After the Holy Ghost Service, we veered into the road early in the morning to return to our different and to have a short sleep before heading for a church member wedding reception.
I bet you, Ijebu guys know how to arrange party. The spoiler for the day is the excess food that is available for all guests. From Amala with ewedu and gbegiri to jollof rice and and fried rice with moi-moi and salad plus protein of either fresh fish, croaker, turkey or chicken. That's a whole lot to choose from.
Since I didn't attend the wedding itself (the usual way nah), I slept for about six hours before I woke up and prepared to join the reception which is held a stone throw from.my residence.
I decided to do what some of my folks did at my wedding. They made sure they tasted all the meals in the menu.
First, a munched a mole of Amala with only ewedu plus tilapia fis then pushed it down with a bottle of Chivita orange juice.
Later, I called for goat meat pepper soup made with slice of potatoes.
The last straw that broke the camel's back was when I called one of the waiters to serve me jollof with turkey. It was indeed a nice experience all together. I needed up doing what was done to me on my wedding day.
