FreeCompliments Community

Did you always want to get compliments for your homemade tacos? Or illegitimately for bought ones? We’ll tell you how!

We all know that Hive is a nice blockchain, well compared to many other blockchains it really is. LOOL

We are also headlong into the new year, so perhaps you made a resolution or two for the New Year? Perhaps you made a resolution to be nicer to your fellow Hivians!

Well we sent our dual personality reporter @tengolotodo (Editor's note: Or was it @tengolotodo.leo? Or maybe Matilda after all? Ok, then it would actually be a triple personality. LOOL) to inevestigate where he could be nice!

The answer was found in the FreeCompliments community right here on Hive.

The community was created by @freecompliments who found Hive after we believe their big community had insurmountable problems with the dreaded Reddit. Well that comes as no surprise to hear that Web2 causes problems! LOOL

The aims of the community are pretty simple.

FreeCompliments has been created specifically for giving out free compliments!

That is pretty smart, sexy and stylish in itself!

So come to FreeCompliments community and make yourself and others feel good. That is their motto!

Actually @tengolotodo was one of the original founding members so he does know how to give #freecompliments. In fact he is a member with both accounts, hence the dual personality reporter.

There are of course General Complimenting Guidelines which detail what is required of a Hivian complimenting another Hivian in the community.

We mentioned earlier about being nice, well the mantra for FreeCompliments is based around happiness.

Why isn't there a Thirsty Thursdays @freecompliments?

Yes you guessed it, @tengolotodo posted a blog for #tacotuesdays.

(Note from @tengolotodo: I would like to point out that the money for these tacos did not come from HiQ's petty cash because @mary-me keeps a tight hold of the purse strings! So much for journalist's expenses, it's a myth! LOOL)

The community is very active on Inleo threads and you can leave #freecompliments all over Hive.

@freecompliments also runs many initiatives for the community members and each month hands out several HSBI in prizes.

Holozing - GO!

Hive's new star Holozing will soon enter closed beta. So, are you ready to zing 'em all?

Hello to everyone reading through HiQ’s game section! Holozing is one of Hive’s newest game projects. At the helm of the team is @acidyo, also known as the leader of OCD, and he has a highly qualified team. All the people he works with are experts in their field and they are determined to bring us a great game. Acidyo has been wanting to enter the gaming world as a producer for years and has been contemplating this project for a very long time. The game hasn’t been released yet, but it’s expected to be launched in 2024. He is a Pokémon fan as well as a gamer. That’s why you can see some Pokémon influences in the game. You can access the game’s white paper here. To summarize the lore of the game briefly, you are a player in the year 2040 and your goal is to defeat other players and become the best player by gaining fame for yourself.

Many design and naming contests have been organized for the game and may continue to be organized in the future. With these contests, we have seen that there are great artists on Hive, and you can follow @holozing to stay up to date with these contests. Announcements about the game are also shared on that account. The game became one of the most invested projects on Hive before it was even released. Many Hive users have and continue to delegate to the @zingtoken account. Currently, a total of 3,792,945,032 HP has been delegated to @zingtoken. This is a really impressive amount. So why are people delegating to this account? Thanks to these delegations, you can earn ZING tokens, the game’s token, and currently the APR on delegation is much higher than staking Hive Power. You can see today’s APR in the screenshot below. The token can be earned not only by delegating HP, but also by holding POSH tokens, staking ZING tokens and providing liquidity to the liquidity pool. If you want to read about the economics of the token, you can follow @libertycrypto27. He occasionally shares very informative and detailed posts on this subject.

Reminder: APR is very volatile because of the token price and investments.

Watch Freechain Movie for fame and glory

We were at the HiveFest and were able to witness a masterpiece of cinematic art. However, the Freechain Movie should become famous beyond the HiveFest and that's where you come in. The Freechain guys @lordbutterfly and @littlelamb have a first-class call to action for you. With this Call to Action you too can enjoy the Freechain Movie and the best thing is, it might even be completely free. Further information and details can be found in the post by threespeak.

Neon Strike

Neon Strike is a game that was recently announced for Hive. Not much is known yet, but we were able to find out that @ravenmus1c is responsible for the music. New announcements can be found under the account @midnight-studio. We also have the first post on Neon Strike for you.

A roadmap was also announced shortly before the editorial deadline. Q1 2024 is to begin with public sales. This will be followed by a closed beta. To take part in the closed beta, you will need to buy one of 2 passes. One pass will cost $10 and the other $22. There will be a 20% discount for both passes at the beginning. (Editor's note: We should definitely get @incublus on this. LOOL)

The full game is set to launch in March. The purchasable packs will include NFTs that you can send on missions, level up, repair and fuse. Unlocking new missions is also planned. Are we in for a new idle game? We'll keep you up to date. (Editor's note: Or should we say @incublus?)

In our second raffle of this year, some participants have participated again.

This time we managed it in a timely manner, so that you will find out faster today whether you are one of the lucky winners who have won one of our coveted Craftink Booster Packs.

As with the last time, some participants have submitted a tip and are now eagerly awaiting to see if they have won. Here you will find an overview of the participants and their tips. A list of the winners will be published shortly.

We opened a pack as usual and these cards came to light.

After opening the pack, we were able to locate exactly 2 Fillink cards.

Unfortunately, this time everyone guessed too little. However, we also did not expect that there would be more Fillink cards in this pack than were guessed. Two Fillink cards in one pack, that doesn’t happen very often. Nevertheless, you don’t have to be sad, because we will still randomly distribute the packs.

We wrote all six participants who guessed correctly on the wheel of fortune and spun it five times. The following Hivestylers were selected and can look forward to a CraftInk Boosterpack.
