Extreme storms in the area where I live are very rare. It didn't happen very close to me, but in a few nearby villages. Now those who cut down trees have an extra reason to cut down large and old trees; they will say they are dangerous. As for the roofs on the big blocks, no one mentions that they are poorly constructed and not properly anchored. During a somewhat stronger storm, they easily take flight.

I don’t do heat very well my friend!🥵
I think it’s because the northwest is cool most of the time, then, suddenly it gets hot, and no one has time to adapt/ adjust!😅

It's sad when storms tear through towns and cause personal loss and injury.

I'm glad you weren't in the middle of that! In the fall, we get wind storms and because of the lack of rain, all the trees are 'loosened' in the ground. Most root systems are fairly shallow because of the rains in the fall, winter and spring, so when the winds begin, down they go! It can be quite scary!
