Gray Skies and Quiet Streets: A Day in Steps and Stories
Chapter One: Dawn’s Early Light
It began with a mission—a trifecta of treks. With the sun playing hide and seek behind the clouds, I embarked on the first of today’s trilogy of walks. The world was silent except for the rhythm of my footsteps and the distant chorus of waking birds.
Chapter Two: The Midday Meander
By lunch, the sky hadn’t brightened, but my spirit had. Dodging raindrops, I weaved through a world painted in soft, somber strokes—every gray cloud a gentle nudge forward, pushing me to leave no path unexplored.
Chapter Three: Twilight’s Encore
Evening brought a subtle drama to the skies, a beautiful close to my day’s quest. Though the sun only peeked through its cloudy curtains, it was enough to cast a golden glow that danced on the water’s surface.
Across three walks, I conquered 15k steps and 12 kilometers—all under a sky draped in endless shades of grey. While some might lament the lack of sun, I found solace in the clouds’ comforting embrace, a blanket softening the world’s edges. Today, I walked not just for my body, but for my soul.

That's indeed what's mostly missing in Belgium, the balance with the sunny days :-) I think we had about 20 sunny days in the past 4 months or so... A lot of people are starting to get anger issues or even depressions from it. Vitamin D is on an all time low (Belgium is already too dark and cloudy between October and March to get any Vitamin D).
So, some !PIZZA instead :-D

That's so interesting that you mention that about the predominance of clouds in Belgium now, as that exact same thing is being seen in many countries now, mostly due to the geoengineering programs in operation.
