Walking Through the Evening Blue

Today marked 14k steps, with the majority taken under the veil of the evening. The transition from the warmth of the day to the colder embrace of the night was palpable. As winter approaches, there’s a beauty in walking through the hush of the evening, with the world lit by ambient lights and distant stars.

This shift in the weather also prompted a trip to the sports store, ensuring I’m equipped for the days ahead. Investing in running lights, insulated walking pants, and a water-repellent vest, I’m now prepared for whatever the weather has in store. No longer will a drizzle or a chilly breeze deter me from my evening strolls.

The photographs captured today depict two contrasting scenes. The first, a tranquil canal bordered by trees, with lights from the nearby homes casting reflections on the calm water. The second, a more urban setting with the luminance of the building and its surroundings creating a different kind of ambiance.

The essence of these walks isn’t just in the physical steps taken but also in the moments and memories created. Whether it’s the soft murmur of the canal or the distant hum of a city preparing for night, every evening walk is a story waiting to be told.
