It all comes down to water.

It all comes down to water.

There is a humorous saying that goes, "Sausage isn't meat, and a chicken isn't a bird"—but one could take that further; after all, not everything liquid can be called water, and not every kind of water is something you’d be grateful for.

For all its apparent simplicity, the issue of water is deceptive.

Too little water is bad, and too much is also bad; even water that is cool and pleasant to the taste can bring problems just as easily as benefits.

I often see poultry and rabbit farmers suddenly lose their entire flock or herd—or a large part of it—for some inexplicable reason.

This is deeply disheartening and costly, especially when the animals are already well-grown and the owners have invested significant funds in feed, vaccinations, and various water-administered treatments.

There are many possible causes—climate, feed quality, and so on—but, surprisingly, the factor they most often point to first is water quality.

People search for the root causes of these problems by looking at everything from the temperature of the water the animals drink to its chemical composition.

It is strange to consider that in the wild, no one provides animals with filtered water, yet the species haven't died out; however, the moment a human enters the animal-water equation—whether a caring owner or someone with malicious intent—problems begin.

Regardless of the specifics, the water is usually blamed for these issues; it is held responsible for it all.

Material thoughts about beekeeping №1

When I visited dense forests, I did not see ideal conditions for bees there, but many beekeepers harvest beekeeping products in such places.
