High Water.
High Water.
An excess of something is often viewed negatively, unless it is seen as a valuable reserve for unforeseen circumstances.
When it comes to water and its surplus, we typically call it a flood; we do our utmost to channel the excess water where we want it to go and keep it away from areas where it is not needed.
Yet, I suspect that those who have experienced the power of a flood—provided it did not end in tragedy—might look back on that high water with a touch of nostalgia during years of drought.
A woman walks along the bed of the Dniester River, gathering free and easily accessible fish into her bucket, but there is no joy on her face—only fear.
Yes, she will have enough to eat today, but what will become of the river that sustains her a year from now?
I saw this scene on the news in Moldova yesterday, and it was a disheartening sight; even the fishermen found no joy in the abundance of fish.
I do not know what will happen to the river if there is no heavy snowfall this winter; yet, while such snow might save the river, it could also cost the people living along its banks their homes. It is hard to know what to pray for.
All we can do is wait and watch how the Lord resolves this situation—and He, as we know, does everything for our good.

Material thoughts about beekeeping №1
When I visited dense forests, I did not see ideal conditions for bees there, but many beekeepers harvest beekeeping products in such places.
