A person's circle of interests is probably how they should approach things, and nothing else.

I don't remember exactly when it happened, but one day in elementary school, during mathematics, the teacher showed us a flat geometric figure he'd folded from a strip of paper. It defied logic and had only one plane, called a Möbius limit.

Something resembling a figure eight, a ribbon twisted around one end and joined at both ends to form a single whole.

You know, this figure is symbolic of those principles that people consider unshakable doctrines, for example, what they call like-minded people.

Well, you know, this definition has so many variables that you'll never really know whether the people around you are like-minded or not.

A person's circle of interests is probably how they should approach things, and nothing else. Otherwise, they should be prepared for disappointment.

For example, two hunters, a raven and a dragonfly, in theory they should be like-minded.

However, they don't often encounter each other, as the dragonfly prefers to hunt among flowers, where tasty butterflies and bugs flock.

The raven, on the other hand, prefers to hunt near human habitation and garbage dumps, because if it can't find its prey, it can find a tasty treat in the trash.

Same-minded people love to share their successes and impressions with each other, but such a meeting between the raven and the dragonfly will be the dragonfly's last.

This Möbius strip is cracking, or doesn't close at all.
