And just like that it is summer in Seattle! Today was mid seventies and tomorrow is going to be around eighty degrees.
It was such a nice, warm and sunny day. And it was a day full of activities. In the morning we woke up and talked in bed until our daughter was up.

Then our daughter had an art lesson where she continued working on her canvas painting where she was painting a coral reef and tropical fishes some of which we saw recently in Maui while we were snorkeling together at the Napili beach.
It is a nice and quite large acrylic painting on a stretched framed canvas. After the lesson the ladies went to her classmate birthday party and I went to get a haircut and some groceries.

I ended up also getting six flower plants to replace the rapidly fading tulips in our white pots by our front door. And I also picked up a large poted basil plant as we add fresh basil to many of our pasta dishes and burata.
While I was at QFC I also picked up some dark chocolate the cheapest was Lindt and I got some, but I also got some Ghirardelli ones as well. I also got a call from my wife while shopping and she invited me to hang out in Edmonds.

So I drove back home and unloaded the groceries and plants and jumped back in the car and drove to Edmonds. There we met at a nice English teahouse and had some British food and some really nice teas.
There was also a great farmers market, but by the time we got done with our lunch it was all over. Sitting outside the teahouse was really nice though. We walked around downtown, picked up some flowers and I drove back home and my wife went to pick up our daughter from the birthday party.

One thing about this weather is that grass is growing very rapidly and I have to mow the lawn every three days.
We finished the day by making a nice fire in our backyard. It was our first fire of the season and I really enjoyed it. Sitting by the fire always puts me in a contemplating mood where I think about life and how things change over time.

One thing that seems to have changed recently is the amount of SPS tokens that you can earn in the modern league. Last season I earned over five thousand SPS tokens.
I know SPS just hit a new all time lows this week and the mood in the community is all doom and gloom, but if you believe in the long term future of Splinterlands now is a great time to accumulate SPS in the modern ranked play.

Bitcoin seems to be doing pretty good and sitting at seventy eight thousand, but that can change pretty quickly if there is a resumption of the shooting war in Iran.
There is still a temporary truce in Iran, but the strait of Hormuz is still closed and oil prices are still elevated and the prices at the gas stations are still slowly creeping up.

I heard recently that elevated gas prices are costing Americans over three hundred million a day in extra fuel costs. That is going to add up over time and is going to put a break on the economy.
The longer this situation continues the more economy is going to be impacted and risk assets such as stocks and crypto usually don't do well in a recession.
