Yesterday was a Super Bowl Sunday 🏈
I don't usually watch American football, but yesterday I made an exception since Seattle Seahawks were in the Super Bowl for the first time since 2015 when they lost 28-24 to New England Patriots in what is known as "Deflategate" the scandal due to Patriots using under inflated balls.
So yesterday's game was a sweet revenge where Seahawks beat New England Patriots 29-13. This was an existing game with Seattle Seahawks leading very narrowly 12 to 0 into the fourth quarter. This was only the second Super Bowl game in history where there were no touchdowns scored in the first three quarters.

The defense on both sides was just too good so this kept us on the edge of our seats all the way into the last quarter. As you can see from the final score both teams scored more points in the last quarter than in the previous three.
Seahawks actually scored scored one more touchdown, but it was ruled not to count because of one of Seattle Seahawks players holding a Patriots player. That holding didn't really make any difference to the touchdown score, but rules are rules and the judges called it correctly.

It was a fun game, the half time show was kind of weird with most of the songs in Spanish, I guess that was some sort of political message.
Before the game our son came over and we had a really nice weight lifting workout. He has not been around for a while as he flew to England for a few weeks then came back and flew to Florida for a business trip. And last weekend he couldn't come over due to a birthday party conflict and we were on the island most of the weekend anyway.

So it was nice to catch up and spend some time together yesterday. He is going to be starting his second quarter of the MBA in the University of Washington soon, so our workouts are going to be limited as he is also working full-time in his corporate job and his time is going to be in a very short supply.
Overall it was a great weekend and today it is back to work and I will be going into the Seattle downtown office three days this week.

And today SPS chain stopped at 9:15 AM, so there was a hot fix released with new validator software version 1.3.1. I have my SPS validator node upgraded to the latest, but it seems that they chain is just starting up...
We are also starting a bathroom remodel tomorrow, so that should be fun...

Very happy to see the Seahawks win as well. I greatly dislike the Patriots.
Firstly, the ENTIRE half time show was in Spanish, from the first word to the last word. But why does the message need to be political at all to honor the most-streamed artist in 2025 who just won a GRAMMY for best song and for best album?! Bad Bunny certainly did not make his performance political, instead choosing to highlight and uplift ALL of AMERICA!
I didn't understand much of what he said with my very primitive understanding of Spanish, but it was pretty clear to see it was a performance of positivity and hope. The people who are making it political are the same people who are spreading propaganda...
Well, I didn't know he was the most-streamed artist of 2025 :) I never heard of him, but there was also Lady Gaga and she was singing in English...
