My Actifit Report Card: September 16 2025

Busy day at work today, it was so busy that I barely got off my chair. So my steps were abysmal until after work when we managed to go for a short walk with my wife.

It was a really hot day today with temperature in mid eighties, which is really hot for Seattle in mid September. Even around six in the evening it was still too hot and over eighty degrees.

In the evening we watched another episode of Isaac Asimov Foundation series. I am really enjoying it and my wife has come around and is actually enjoying watching it with me, but our daughter is not convinced yet.

She is starting to feel better it seems, so that is a great thing. Nobody else has any symptoms yet, so we might actually get lucky this time around.

At work a couple people are actually sick with covid, but because we are still fully remote they are able to attend meetings.

Next month we officially have to return to the office and that will really suck! I am definitely not looking forward to weekly long commutes to Seattle.

We tested our daughter and she tested negative for covid, so that is a good thing. Tomorrow is another day at work where I will be upgrading our SOLR from version 8 to Version 9. I already started upgrading Test environment today and tomorrow I will finish that up and start on the Stage environment.

I also worked with one of our developers trying to fix his docker environment after upgrading it to Windows 11 and we couldn't get it to work even though the other five developers on my team were able to upgrade their with almost no issues.

By the way check out my other post about Tesla prices in the used car market. The data was really surprising to me. I didn't realize how much Tesla car prices have came down in the used car market in the last couple years.
