I am clearing space in my Google storage and organising my files, and while cleaning up I came across some old photos from a few years ago, when I was practising yoga with Fouad, a martial arts teacher and holistic healer who gives free yoga and tai chi classes at his gym as a social service.
The classes start at 7 a.m. and last for an hour. Mondays and Wednesdays are for yoga, and Tuesdays and Thursdays are for tai chi. I liked yoga better because I can stretch my body and play with my balance. Tai chi is also important, but I found it more difficult because I had to memorise the sequences of movements and I couldn't do it. I felt disoriented and stressed, and that's not the idea of this discipline.
The day I took the photos, I asked everyone present, starting with the teacher, for permission. If anyone felt uncomfortable, I wouldn't take them. Thankfully, that wasn't the case. Everyone wanted to be in the foreground 😆. Most of the attendees are elderly women, and they do the movements as best they can.
To attend, I left home at 6:15 a.m. It was a 5-kilometre walk, which took me 45 minutes. I arrived just in time for the start and after finishing, I walked the same distance back, for a total of 10 kilometres a day. I arrived home after 9 a.m., very tired, but it was great to start the day like that. I did this activity for several months, but I didn't continue because I moved to my grandmother's house to take care of her, and it was too far away. Besides, taking care of my grandmother was tiring enough.
I hope that one day I can return to this activity and bring you more up-to-date photos. For now, they will remain immortalised in hive and deleted from my cloud.

Estoy abriendo espacio en mi capacidad de almacenamiento de Google y organizando mis archivos y haciendo limpieza me encontré con unas fotos viejas de algunos años, cuando practicaba yoga con el profesor Fouad un maestro de artes marciales y sanador holístico que dicta clases de Yoga y Taichí en su gimnasio de forma gratuita siendo un servicio social que él regala.
Las clases inician a las 7 a. m. y duran una hora. Los días lunes y miércoles son los de yoga, y martes y jueves de taichí. A mí me gustaban más las de yoga porque puedo estirar mi cuerpo y jugar con el equilibrio. El taichí también es importante, pero me costaba más porque debía memorizar las secuencias de los movimientos y no lograba hacerlo, me sentía desorientada y me estresaba y esa no es la idea de esta disciplina.
El día que saqué las fotos pedí permiso a todos los presentes empezando por el profesor, si alguna persona se sentía incómoda no las sacaría, gracias a Dios no fue así, toda querían aparecer en primer plano 😆, la mayoría de los que asisten son mujeres de tercera edad y ellas hacen los movimientos hasta donde pueden.
Para asistir salía de casa a las 6.15 am, eran 5 kilómetros caminando y me llevaban 45 minutos a pie. Llegaba justo a la hora de iniciar y después de terminar regresaba caminando la misma distancia, para un total de 10 kilómetros diarios. Llegaba a casa pasadas las 9 a. m. muy agotada, era muy bueno empezar el día así. Esta actividad la hice por varios meses, no continué porque me mudé a casa de mi abuela a cuidar de ella y me quedaba lejos. Además, con el cuidado de mi abuela, ya quedó suficientemente cansada.
Ojalá algún día pueda regresar a esta actividad y traerles fotos más actualizadas, por lo pronto quedarán inmortalizadas en hive y eliminadas de mi nube.
