How are you doing Actifiters? I hope you are all having a healthy, peaceful, and relaxing weekend with your loved ones!
Yesterday started a little earlier than usual. I woke up before Fajr and took my father to the mosque for prayer. After we returned home, I went for a morning walk with my brother.
My brother is quite tall, around 6'3". He used to be very skinny, but now he is facing some weight issues. He also has flat feet and uses orthotic insoles to support his feet. Unfortunately, he ignored this issue for years, and it has affected his posture and body alignment. He feels considerable strain while walking.
The good thing is that he has started focusing on his health and is taking this as a challenge to improve his condition. We walked for almost an hour. It was a good start, and I hope he stays consistent. After our walk, we got busy with our own routines.
My mother had already prepared tea, so I grabbed a cup and started working on my laptop. My wife and Isra were not at home, and the house felt unusually quiet. I used to enjoy having breakfast with Isra, and I really missed that little routine. I wasn't feeling hungry, so I continued working until Zuhr prayer. After prayer, I had some fruit and spent some time working on LinkedIn.
I offered Asr prayer and later took my father to Bahria Town because he had to meet some friends. After dropping him off, I returned home and offered Maghrib prayer. Since my father was having dinner with his friends, we had dinner at home without him.
After Isha prayer, my father returned home, and we gathered in my parents' room as usual. We had tea and enjoyed a casual conversation.
My youngest sister was also getting better, although she still had some swelling and occasionally felt pain. My other younger sister, who is an ENT surgeon, checked her wound and changed a few of her medicines. Hopefully, these changes would help her recover more comfortably.
We were all missing Isra, and, as expected, she became the highlight of our conversation. It was funny how much we talked about her even when she wasn't around. She really brings so much life and entertainment into our home.
By then, I was feeling sleepy. I had already walked for almost an hour in the morning, although I hadn't reached my 10K steps goal. So, instead of going out for my usual late-night walk, I decided to go to bed and get some rest.
It was a quieter day than usual, but it reminded me how much happiness a little child brings into a home. We all missed our little entertainer!
