Actifit RC: 12th Jan '25 - On the way to the white surprise

Naples this morning woke up in a strong wind storm after the night of heavy rain had hit the city and when I went down to buy bread I found the courtyard full of things that had flown away from various houses.

After lunch they noticed, from a webcam on Vesuvius that our volcano was whitewashed. This took away the desire to stay locked in the house for that day of really bad weather.

From the cold I could not even shave and I cloaked as if I were going to go for a weekend in the snow but at the end there was 8°C outside although 4°C.

The atmosphere outside was spooky and there was not a living soul walking on the street so much that even cars passed by so frequently.

As already seen from behind the building of the previous photo The sleeping giant that hangs over the province of Naples was whitewashed and a thick snowfall that was falling live.

Snow in the night fell enough but the high temperatures had first thawed the volcanic cone and then later after a passage to the cold winds it was again back to form a light layer of snow so, On the food, ice-sheet zones have formed alternating with fresh snow.

This is due to a condition not ideal for the formation of permanent snow on Vesuvius as there is an anticyclone that has been infiltrated by cold currents from Siberia which have created a icy drop traveling on a very hot sea.

Given the rarity of the event see the whitewashed Vesuvius puts in a good mood the souls of the Neapolitans who are suffering, however, with really prohibitive weather conditions and even if the temperatures are not so low the inhabitants of the area suffer excessively.

And here I am returning home among icy winds of bora that blow at an average of 25 km per hour with gusts that touch peaks of even 55-60 kilometers per hour in the middle of a desolate town although, At one point, I meet a friend who has recognized me with great difficulty.

Of course I have reached quite far with great courage and if the journey home was not really painful, it was really hard to do.

I went down because I know that when there are winds of Bora it is difficult to rain but the weather conditions are really prohibitive and I understand who wanted to stay at home but a little activity is especially necessary when you eat in abundance and Sunday is one of those Days when you have more appetite.

In the evening the rains have been a little 'attenuated although the wind was always fierce but still, even from the center of the storm, I do not forget to greet the extraordinary pioneers of blockchain Hive that happened between the lines of my report actifit Sunday.

In viaggio verso la bianca sorpresa

Napoli stamattina si è svegliata in preda ad una fortissima bufera di vento dopo che la notte impetuose precipitazioni avevano sferzato la città e quando sono sceso per andare a comprare il pane ho trovato il cortile pieno di cose che erano volate via dalle varie abitazioni.

Dopo pranzo avevano notato, da una webcam sul Vesuvio che il nostro vulcano fosse imbiancato. Ciò mi ha tolto quella voglia di rimanere chiuso in casa per quella giornata di maltempo veramente orrendo.

Dal freddo non sono riuscito nemmeno a farmi la barba e mi sono incappucciato come se dovessi andare a fare un weekend sulla neve ma alla fine c'erano 8°C all'esterno anche se se ne avvertivano 4°C.

L'atmosfera all'esterno era spettrale e non c'era un'anima viva che camminava per strada tanto che neanche le macchine passavano tanto frequentemente.

Come già intravisto da dietro l'edificio della foto precedente Il gigante addormentato che incombe sulla provincia di Napoli era imbiancato ed una fitta nevicata che stava cadendo dal vivo.

Di neve nella notte ne è caduta abbastanza però le alte temperature avevano prima scongelato il cono vulcanico e poi in seguito dopo un passaggio ai venti freddi si era di nuovo tornato a formare un leggero strato di neve quindi, sul cibo, si sono formate zone con lastre di ghiaccio alternate a zone di neve fresca.

Ciò è dovuto proprio per una condizione non ideale per la formazione di un innevamento permanente sul Vesuvio in quanto c'è una anticiclone che è stato infilato da correnti fredde provenienti dalla Siberia che hanno creato una goccia gelida che viaggia su un mare molto caldo.

Data la rarità dell'evento vedere il Vesuvio imbiancato mette di buon umore l'animo dei napoletani che sono sofferenti, però, con condizioni metereologiche davvero proibitive e anche se le temperature non sono così basse gli abitanti della zona soffrono esageratamente.

Ed eccomi di rientro verso casa tra venti gelidi di bora che soffiano ad una media di 25 km orari con raffiche che toccano picchi anche di 55-60 chilometri orari in mezzo ad una desolata cittadina anche se, a un certo punto, incontro un amico che con grande difficoltà mi ha riconosciuto.

Certo che con grande coraggio sono arrivato piuttosto lontano e se il viaggio di andata non l'ho proprio sofferto quello di ritorno è stato davvero duro da compiere.

Sono sceso anche perché so che quando ci sono venti di Bora è difficile che piova però le condizioni meteorologiche sono davvero proibitive e capisco chi è voluto rimanere a casa ma un po' di attività ci vuole specialmente quando si mangia in abbondanza e la domenica è uno di quei giorni in cui si ha più appetito.

In serata le precipitazioni si sono un po' attenuate anche se il vento è stato sempre impetuoso ma comunque, anche dal centro della tempesta, non dimentico di salutare gli straordinari pionieri della blockchain di Hive che sono capitati tra le righe del mio report actifit domenicale.
