Today’s walk came with full cinematic gloom.
The first shot, that long brick wall and skeletal trees, looks like the backdrop to a serious life decision. The sun is technically there, but barely committing. Moody. Dramatic. Slightly judgmental.
Then the open field. Thick clouds rolling overhead like they’re preparing a speech. A random pile of dirt just existing in the grass, somehow adding character. Grey skies, green ground, zero filters needed. If the weather won’t be cheerful, it can at least be photogenic.
The canal stretch sealed it. Wind cutting across the water, trees lined up like silent witnesses. The path ahead straight and unapologetic. No fluff. Just distance waiting to be covered.
And it was.
Speed is up. Distance is up. Almost 10k steps done in one walk. Not because the weather was motivating, but because this is routine now. Clouds can brood all they want. I’m still moving.
If the sun wants to show up next time, cool.
If not, I guess we’re keeping the dramatic trailer vibe going.
