My Actifit Report Card: May 7 2026
Hello my good people. This is my Actifit Report for Thursday the 7/5/2026. We had a clear weather in the morning which lasted till about noon before the clouds started gathering again. It rained though but it was not a heavy downpour.
The Uefa Europa League 2nd leg took centre stage. The first was between two English sides - Aston Villa vs Nottingham Forest. Forest had won the first leg (1-0) at home. This reverse fixture took place at Villa Park. Unai Emery is a Europa League specialist. She conjured a winning formula on the night which saw his team pump in four unreplied goals against Forest on the night. Villa won (4-0) on the night and (4-1) on aggregate.
The second semifinal match was between German side Freiburg vs Braga. Braga had won the first leg (2-1) and had a one goal advantage going into the 2nd leg. But a couple of mistakes and even playing with a man down ensured that Freiburg won on thr night by (3-1) and (4-3) on aggregate.
Freiburg therefore qualified for their first European final after beating 10-man Braga. They will now face Aston Villa in the final in Istanbul on Wednesday, 20 May.
In the Uefa conference league semifinal 2nd leg also played last night. Oliver Glasner's Crystal Palace rolled over their opponent Shakhtar Donetsk by (2-1) and (5-2) on aggregate. Palace will now face Rayo Vallecano in the final on Wednesday, 27 May in Leipzig, Germany, after the Spanish side defeated French club Strasbourg (2-0) on aggregate in the other semi-final.
