Hello my good people. This is my Actifit Report for wednesday the 8/4/2026. Happy midweek everyone. Work have now started in earnest as most workers are back to town after the Easter holidays.

I saw the above painting made by the state government as a way to beautify the city. It is a woman trying bean cake popularly called 'Akara' down here. Each time I pass through this path I usually admire it.
Two matches were played in the UEFA Champions League quarterfidnals. First was the clash between two Spanish giants Barcelona and Athletico Madrid. Julián Álvarez and Alexander Sørloth scored a goal apeice to help Atlético Madrid upset 10-man Barcelona to win the first leg of their Champions League quarterfinal 2-0.

Barcelona who was playing at home in their Spotify Camp Nou saw Pau Cubarsí sent off in the 44th minute before thr goals started arriving. That victory was Barça's first defeat in 26 home meetings with Atlético Madrid stretching back to 2006. On the other hand, it also meant that Diego Simoene's side recorded an away victory over Spanish opposition in the Champions League for the first time. The second leg comes up next week in Madrid.

The second game was between the current champions Paris Saint-Germain vs Liverpool. Playing at home at the Parc des Princes, PSG scored a goal in each half, through Désiré Doué and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia to put the tie well beyond Liverpool (2-0) as they await the result and outcome of the second.leg in Anfield next week. Liverpool has a tall order if they want to advance though as they need an improvement on a performance that saw them fail to register a single shot on goal.
That's it for now. Thanks for reading up to this point. Until next time, I say, keep exercising.
