My Actifit Report Card: January 18 2026
Hello my good people. This is my Actifit Report for sunday the 18/1/2026. Happy sunday everyone. It was a nice Sunday for me as I attended service on time. Like I had expected, much people were in attendance. The yuletide festivities are well over now.
The AFCON third place match was played on Saturday and Nigeria defeated Egypt on penalties (4-2), having played the full 120 minutes (extra time) inclusive without either side scoring a goal.
Now the big one - the finals between Senegal and host country Morocco took place and it was an explosive encounter. Morocco got penalty spotkick few minutes to the end of the game but unfortunately Brahim Diaz missed it. The game was dragged into extra time and Senegal slotted in the only goal of the game in the first half of the extra time.
Kudos to Morocco for hosting the 2025 AFCON and big congratulations to Senegal for lifting the trophy against all odds.
The next AFCON will take place in four years time. It's going to be a joint host thing - tripartite hosting by Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda.
