My Actifit Report Card: January 5 2026

Hello good people. This is my Actifit Report for monday the 5/1/2026. Happy new week everyone. Action continued in the ongoing AFCON Round of 16 with Egypt playing against Benin Republic. The game ended (1-1) at regulation time prompting the game to be taken to extra time and the Pharaohs did not disappoint. Two goals in extra time, including one from Mohamed Salah ensured that Egypt broke down a resilient Benin Republic team to end the game at (3-1).

After that match then came the big one - Super Eagles of Nigeria vs Mambas of Mozambique. The mozambicans were playing in the Round of 16 for the first time in their history and honestly they had a night to forget as Nigeria - a 3 time champions whitewashed them by (4-0). This is the highest scoreline in this edition of AFCON.

Then comes the big news of the day - Manchester United sacked their head coach Ruben Amorim after his rant and dig against United's senior chiefs the other day. I can say that Amorim knows what will happen to him next after his rant. Now, his 14 months spell at Manchester United has come to an end. Where does he go from here now? Time will tell.
