Welcome to HiQs Flash №7. No sooner do you miss 700,000 blocks than you find yourself at the 7th edition of HiQs Flash and the 2nd edition of HiQs Flashes in a new guise.

Scammers are getting more and more "creative" with their methods these days. So we'll tell you about the latest scam. This issue is rounded off with a community article, which we don't want to spoil here, and Hivestyle for Hivians with a pinch of gossip. And of course you'll also find a new competition and much more. Have fun reading. ★

Scam Alert

It has been quiet on the blockchain for too long. But this time, too, the calm is interrupted, because where there are naive Hivians, Scammers are not far away.

As in today's episode, in which our victim, whom we will only call "Bindi" here due to victim protection, was contacted by an alleged Splinterlands player with the Discord name erosame24, as he wanted to buy his cards.

However, Bindi refused the alleged Splinterland player's offer, as he did not have any cards for sale at the time. The conversation was over and peace returned to Bindi. However, this calm was not to last long.

When Bindi discovered a message in his Discord message box that originated from the alleged Splinterlands player. In this message, the alleged Splinterlands player claimed that he was trying to send in-game tokens to another player, but that this was not working due to an error. Due to Bindi's good nature, the trap snapped shut.

Bindi, helpful as he is, offered to support the supposed Splinterlands player. The said Splinterlands player then offered to send Bindi a few tokens - according to information, 75 DEC - to test the functionality of sending tokens. However, as was to be expected, the Splinterlands player encountered obstacles and received error messages. But how could Bindi help with this problem?

This is where the perfidious plan comes in: the alleged Splinterland player now became intrusive. He could only find out about this mistake if he had the transfer logs from Bindi's keychain. He demanded these from Bindi. Bindi, who wasn't a head case, had a bad feeling about this. He should go to the Keychain menu, click on Account and then on Export to export the logs. He should then send these to the supposed Splinterland player. What Bindi then did, however, changed the whole scenario.

He quickly wrote @smooms, a private investigator from the CSA (Editor's note: Central smoomstelligence Agency), a private message on Discord and described the incident to him. He had little time, as he was busy with another case that required his full attention (Note from @mary-me: Mining Darksteel in Redmoon Valley 4f? [Note from @smooms: Yes.]), he offered to solve his case via direct message. When Bindi filled him in on what had happened so far, @smooms' alarm bells went off and he decided to call Bindi. Together with Bindi, @smooms devised a perfidious plan to put a spoke in the wheel of the Scamer, the alleged Splinterlands player.

If you go to Account and then to Export, you export all accounts and the keys that you have saved in Keychain and the Scamer gets access to all your accounts!

Privatinvestigator @smooms created a file with the name Account.kc and wrote something in this file using a text editor. Bindi was then supposed to send the file to the supposed Splinterlands player. When trying to import this file, he will first receive an error message from Keychain. If he then opens the file, the following words will jump out at him:

You don't get anything out of my accounts you fucking scamer.....

Unfortunately, Bindi could no longer ask the supposed Splinterlands player whether it had worked to send the tokens, as he had already blocked Bindi on Discord. But @smooms was once again successful in preventing a scam.

Here I am addressing you readers directly again: This may now have read like an exciting adventure story, but it happened exactly like that. If you are asked... There are no logs or transfer log files at Keychain. There are only your keys in there. Transfers and the like are stored on the blockchain and are publicly accessible at all times. Either at https://hiveblocks.com or at https://he.dtools.dev.

So, don't be stupid, don't give your keys to anyone. ★

Wednesday Walk Community

Do you know the feeling when a certain lightness takes possession of you and encourages you to go for a walk with deep determination? The destination doesn't matter, it's the drive that wants to be carried through the world to experience something and gain new momentum for freedom with a light, buoyant step.

Crossing hurdles and obstacles in forests or the sound of muddy paths is what makes a walk adventurous. Walking along the edge of the forest and looking at the flowering plants along the way is a calming feeling. The walk along the river - an invigorating energy boost or the gentle stroll towards the sunset makes every outing a special experience that simultaneously stimulates our pulse by rowing our arms and breathing in the fresh breeze regularly to create a balance within us that keeps our mind and body healthy.

Probably the most tangible freedom of a walk is sensory perception and the principle of aimlessness, because you are taken wherever your perception takes you. Even if they are only small moments of freedom, they are the most precious.
The scent that enchants you as you walk past a lime tree or the breeze on your skin as it sweeps through the vastness of the land. These are all events that revive our soul, whether it is sad or damaged. Maybe you were indecisive at first, maybe even listless, excited, confused or restless - step by step your mind calms down.

Regardless of which day of the week you go for a walk, it would be great if you could photograph the things that catch your eye and inspire you so that you can post them in the Wednesday Walk Community on a Wednesday. The focus should not be on a single picture, but on a few more challenges that are crying out for your attention.

CBRS Philanthropy

@cbrs is taking off with a fresh new project @cbrsphilanthropy. As the name suggests, the project is all about helping others. Be it help building undervalued hive communities, onboarding, charity, crowdfunding etc.. So they have nothing less than big plans and the CBRS Philanthropy team also includes some well-known hivestylers such as @minigunner, @artakush and @tibfox. Rugpull?

Is @psyberx a large-scale scam or even a rugpull? At least that's the opinion of @hive-detectives. The "hive detectives" are a completely new account. And nobody knows who is behind it. In the Hive Detectives' first post they claim that @psyberx is plagiarizing. Specifically, the allegation is that, according to the Hive Detectives, PsyberX has illegally made NFTs out of Unity assets. This has led to a discussion in the comments, as many users and PsyberX-involved people see this differently. (Editor's note: This is actually a gossip report. What's it doing on HfH? LOOL)

LPUD

Leo Power Up Day happens every 15th of the month, which surprise surprise is today LOOL. (Editor's note: It depends on your time zone. LOOL) During every LPUD the INLEO community stake or power up their liquid LEO tokens similar to what happens with HPUD. The main difference is that you can win LP delegations randomly and not purely by the amount of token that you stake as happens in HPUD.

This month the INLEO guys have made it extra special. In addition to the regular LP delegations which are donated as prizes by some of the community whales, there are 20 Premium monthly memberships up for grabs. If and it is a big IF, IF the amount of users who participate in the November edition of LPUD exceeds 220, then those Premium memberships will be handed out. However, the record to date is only 204, so we think having 220 users powering up means it is a big IF LOOL.
