It's election day and a number of years, my wife has helped as an election worker. She's good at the job and she handles it well. This is a primary election, so turn out is pretty light. But it's still an all day job.

I got the children fed and cleaned up, then they opened their schoolbooks and got straight to their assignments.

I have their mama to thank for their diligence, since a very firm schoolwork schedule has been set.

Even our four-year-old and two-year-old are doing their schoolwork!

Afterward, with the weather so warm, I opened all the windows. They visited next door to take care of the neighbor's cat (Papa and Nana), then they played on the swingset.

Feeling inspired to do some "spring cleaning" I took the rug out and had the children wap it with sticks!

They could all see the dust flying out of the rug. Endless dust!

The littlest one got dust in his eyes, it's what happens when you're short.

Next up is lunch, then an outing to vote and visit with mama. It's turning out to be a good day today!
