Interview

By: @incublus

Would you like to know about Hive's future game project Neon Strike and its team? Here at HiQ, we are always happy to bring you the latest projects on Hive.

screen2

HiQ: Hello, welcome to HiQ, thanks for joining us today.

Neon Strike @taradraz1: Thank you and the HiQ team for the opportunity!

Neon Strike @juansitosaiyayin: Thank you, it's a pleasure to be here on this occasion too.

HiQ: Can you tell us about yourself? How did your journey start on Hive?

Neon Strike @taradraz1: Well, my initial interaction in Hive was with Rising Star game, I was looking for P2E games and I found Rising Star. Then I started learning about the Hive ecosystem in general, and got hooked all about it.

Neon Strike @juansitosaiyayin: In my case I also started in the same way, more than anything I did not know that Hive existed until a very dear friend named Alicia recommended it to me, who brought me to this incredible world that is Hive, also starting with Rising Star.

HiQ: That's great! What do you like about Hive?

Neon Strike @taradraz1: Well I can talk in different ways about that. I have always felt that the community is working to help, since the beginning I felt like the "whales" in the ecosystem were positive and working to improve Hive. I also like the tokenomics in place for the Blockchain itself, how the basics work, the utility of Hive token, the use of HP as a foundation. There a lot of reasons to love Hive.

Neon Strike @juansitosaiyayin: There are many things that I love about hive, in general because it is a whole network of sites, including games, sites where you can stream, social sites where you can share posts, more than anything at least that is what I have known about Hive.

HiQ: It's true that Hive is a very extensive platform and people are generally very helpful. Where do you spend most of your time in the Hive ecosystem?

Neon Strike @taradraz1: I am always looking for new games on Hive, also i follow some content creators that I consider really fun and interesting, also in the last few months trying to listen to threadcasts and join community events to keep up with all Hive news.

Neon Strike @juansitosaiyayin: Usually more in Hive games.

HiQ: Speaking of games, you have a game project. What can you tell us about Neon Strike?

Neon Strike @juansitosaiyayin: I leave this one to @taradraz1.

Neon Strike @taradraz1: Neonstrike is a game set in a cyberpunk dystopia, where three factions fight for their ideals and interests. Where as a player, you can perform various missions with different NFTs from different factions and discover the history of this world. Start a path in which you can earn rewards, acquiring and improving your NFTs by leveling up and fusion. It is also important to think about the strategy to carry out as the balance and the different mechanics will allow an adventure where there are rewards but also opportunities, and risks which will have to be calculated and overcome, also updates are planned so that the NFTs can have more utilities and the fun is even greater.

HiQ: Very interesting. Is this your first game making experience?

Neon Strike @taradraz1: Yes that is correct, and I am happy that it is on the Hive Blockchain, at the same time I understand the responsibility we have taken as a team and we will put all our effort to make the best possible experience.

Neon Strike @juansitosaiyayin: In my case I have already tried to create games before, only more focused on software games, although they were more than anything to learn about 2D games with Game Maker and 3D with Unreal Engine, they are not published.
The only one that is certain to be published will be this one for the Web, in itself it would be the first one that I launch on my part.

HiQ: You got to be excited. How does it feel like?

Neon Strike @taradraz1: It is a combined emotion, in my case I feel happy to have made the decision since we have achieved many things in this time of development. I also feel the pressure of myself to do a good job and fulfill the responsibility that we assume as a team, finally I trust in the team we have formed and I appreciate the confidence of them and all the Hivers who have helped us and are aware of our project.

Neon Strike @juansitosaiyayin: Making a game for the first time for the people who are going to play it, which is no longer for learning, is something quite new because there are a lot of emotions in all this, which means that you have to work for any mistake, no matter how minor it may seem, although at the same time, working as a team makes it easier to notice errors or problems that may arise in terms of the impression that users will have.

HiQ: We wish you the best of luck! Can you give a spoiler about the future of the game that you haven't shared yet? (only if you can 🙂)

Neon Strike @juansitosaiyayin: That question is better answered by @taradraz1.

Neon Strike @taradraz1: Thank you very much for the opportunity and the good wishes. In this case we would like to present some screenshots of the website which will be active as soon as possible. It is the first time we show the work done outside the team. we hope you like it.

HiQ: Thanks a lot for the information. Which technology are you using for NFT creating?

Neon Strike @taradraz1: We are using Hive Engine Smart Contracts.

HiQ: That's very cool. Hive has a lot of opportunity and potential. What do you think about crypto in general?

Neon Strike @juansitosaiyayin: Cryptocurrencies are a great opportunity to earn income, which you can generate either in your free time or increase it through stake.

Neon Strike @taradraz1: Personally I love it, since knowing about technology and programming I can understand the fundamentals and the contribution of the technology. I think I can say that it is a misunderstood technology, also damaged its image as it has a speculation factor that has been used in all forms. In this ecosystem I find Hive as an Oasis that even with its mistakes has some important fundamentals that will highlight it compared to other Blockchains.

HiQ: We agree with you! Did you vote for HiQ Witness? (😄)

Neon Strike @juansitosaiyayin: I have already given the witness a follow, but my vote as such not yet.

Neon Strike @taradraz1: If I have not already done so, I will do it as soon as we end this interview 😃

HiQ: Last but not least, The question that everyone has to answer and could determine your fate. Let's go. If you punch yourself and it hurts, are you strong or weak? (🤣 )

Neon Strike @juansitosaiyayin: If you hit yourself and it doesn't hurt, did you hit yourself hard or weak?

Neon Strike @taradraz1: (punched myself not too hard haha). Good question actually I would say it hurts, that makes me strong because i can still feel, means I am still alive 😃

HiQ: Very interesting answers. Thank you very much for your time. The game looks really exciting and we will follow it with interest. We wish you the best of luck with your project.

Neon Strike @juansitosaiyayin: A pleasure and thank you very much, I hope that the HiQ community continues to grow and there continues to be progress in the opportunities for the Hive Engine platform, which is seen to be a very good platform.

Neon Strike @taradraz1: Thanks so much for the oportunity!!!! We also wish the best to all the HiQ team!! See you guys in the next time!!! ★

Splinterlands - Rebellion Airdrop

By: @bechibenner

There is no teaser because the author did not provide us with one. Nevertheless, the article is worth reading. Trust us. (Editor's note: LOOL)

Today we can tell you something about Splinterlands. The developers have introduced a new AirDrop system called “Conflicts”. Unlike before, where the chance of an Airdrop card depended on how many packs you bought, you can now buy wagons to collect points. Each wagon costs 50 Voucher, 10k DEC or 10k Credits and can contain either Rebellion Packs or Rebellion Cards.

You can put 5 packs or cards in each wagon. For each pack contained in a wagon, you will be credited with 100 points every hour. However, it’s different for cards. Here, the Collection Power counts. For example, if a card has a power of 10k, you will receive 10k points every hour.

- Conflict = new Airdrop system for Rebellion
- Start: **January 23, 2023** after maintenance
- Conflict = new **passive game mode**
- **Mage Wagons** required to participate
- Mage Wagons cost **50 Voucher** or 10,000 DEC or 10,000 Credits -> Voucher is the cheapest (currently $0.04/Voucher -> **$2 per wagon**)
- Up to **5 cards and 100 booster packs** can be stacked in each Mage Wagon
- **Stacked cards can be used to play, but cannot be sold or delegated.**
- Points are credited **hourly**
- For cards, their **Collection Power** (Burn Value) applies
- -> For packs, **100 points per pack** apply (regardless of whether they were purchased at Splinterlands or on the secondary market)
- -> Per 100,000 points -> **1 chance for an Airdrop card**
- Per 200 chances -> **1 guaranteed Airdrop card**
- There is a **competition** with a **leaderboard** and special prizes
- **Duration**: Each conflict lasts **30 days**
- Total of **9 conflicts**
- First Airdrop card: **Rage**
- **4000 copies** + Guaranteed copies
- **2% Goldfoil**
- **4% Goldfoil**, if you pay 20 Voucher per chance (like Potions)

Source: @hatoto (Editor's note: The source of which is probably Splinterlands. LOOL)

image.png

In the game’s leaderboard, you can observe your success rate and see how many chances you have collected in the respective conflict so far.

Once you have collected 100,000 points, a chance will be added to your account. If you have collected 200 chances, an Airdrop card is guaranteed. A conflict always lasts for 30 days, and after that, if you have collected enough chances, the Airdrop card will arrive. Then the new conflict starts.

To significantly increase your chances, you can get Vouchers to buy wagons and fill them with packs or cards. ★

Dive into the statistics of your account: Hivestats.io

By: @incublus

We all wonder what is going on in our accounts. How much Hive have we earned in the last 30 days? What is our reputation? How many cents is our voting power worth? We can find out all this from one website, Hivestats.io

The first thing that catches your attention is the profile section on the left side, where you will see the "about" section that you actually wrote for people to see, and just below it you can see the value of your vote, your voting mana and how long until it will be full. The value of your vote is displayed as Hive, so it can be a bit misleading. In a moment you will see the value of your vote in dollars. In the Rewards section in the center you can see your account's author, curation, witness and total rewards to date. You can also view your rewards for the last 7 days on a daily basis if you wish. On the far right, you will see various statistics about your account. Here you can see your Hive Power, whether you have received delegations or not, your voting power in dollars. For example, the vote value of our hiq.magazine account was 73 cents at the time of writing this post. You can also see how many followers you have and how many people you follow.

Keep scrolling down and see some information about your wallet. Here you can see how much liquid Hive, HBD and how many HBD you have in savings. The approximate value of your account and how many LEO tokens you have can also be viewed here.

Scroll a little further and you can see the 7-day and 30-day progress of your account in detail with the help of charts. You can also click on something you don't want to see to remove it from the chart. For example, we didn't want to see how much Power Down was done because it made the graph look very strange.

Keep scrolling and take a detailed look at your expected author and curation awards. You can see who you voted for, what percentage you voted for and how effective this game has been in the Hive. If someone else downvotes someone you have upvoted, this will reduce your curation income and therefore its efficiency. We don't show you the author section here, but there you can see the amount of HP you earn even from the comments you write.

If you scroll further down, you can also view the operations you have performed on your account, the most valuable tokens you hold in your account. It is even possible to see Hive Engine operations.

We think this website will be especially useful for someone new to Hive to review their account and progress. We'd be interested to hear your thoughts on this. Don't forget to share them in the comments section. ★

By: @quekery

This part of the HiQs Flash is also a must. The most blatant news in shorts. (Editor's note: It's now called Hivestyle for Hivians. That sounds much better too. LOOL)

Town Hall Meeting

Last week we were at the Town Hall Meeting and discussed Hive games. Of course, CraftInk was not to be missed, so @smooms joined the panel of experts for us.

On X (Editor's note: Xth Town Hall Meeting on X. LOOL) you can watch the recording of the insanely good discussion. Unfortunately, 1 of the participants who wanted to present their project (Editor's note: It would probably have been at least as good as CraftInk) couldn't speak for technical reasons. Nevertheless, the Town Hall Meet Up was a complete success. You can find more information in the announcement post from the Town Hall Meeting.

Freechain Movie

The Freechain Movie documentary by @lordbutterfly and @little.lamb has won an award at a small film festival. The film seems to have been particularly well received by the audience, as we were able to read in this post.

End of EOS and WAX

What, there's no more EOS and WAX? Ok, we've done a bit of clickbait here. It's not the end of EOS and WAX, but the end of SWAP.EOS and SWAP.WAX. Hive Engine is discontinuing support for WAX and EOS assets. This means that you should liquidate them as quickly as possible. And speaking of liquidating. Of course, you shouldn't forget your diesel pool positions either.

End of Vienna Gate

It's that time again. The next Hive Meetup Vienna will take place on 20/02/2024 at 18:00 UTC in Vienna and without any scam. (Editor's note: At least until now. LOOL) Because there will be a giveaway for all participants, we are happy to promote it. If you don't want to miss out, have a look at the announcement post from the Hive Meetup Vienna. ★

Giveaway

This week again we have the solution to our last raffle from HiQs Flash 13. Again some Hivians followed the call*.

Brief info

As of today, the HiQs Flash will only be published every 2 weeks and so will the competition. This means that you will have to wait a little longer until we announce the winners. We will set the countdown for one week and then we will evaluate the competition.

Everyone who has submitted their tip in accordance with the rules by then is eligible to take part.

In the last HiQs Flash, we wanted to know from you how many Common cards are in the next booster pack we open. This time, too, you can look forward to finding out who the lucky winners of the coveted Craftink booster packs are!

Here you can find an overview of the participants and their tips.

NameTip
@mario893 Common
@kheldar19854 Common
@bitandi2 Common
@ynwa.andree3 Common
@joseal20204 Common
@cpol4 Common
@libertycrypto270 Fillink
@arc7icwolf1 Fillink
@stekene4 Common
@alicia20223 Common

We opened a pack, as usual, and these cards were revealed.

After opening the pack, we were able to locate exactly 3 common cards.

This time 3 participants have submitted a correct tip and can therefore enjoy the booster packs. As we have raffled off 5 packs together and we have now drawn 3 winners, we will send you all 3 2 booster packs each. We won't let ourselves get carried away.

The winners of the raffle:

  1. mario89
  2. ynwa.andree
  3. alicia2022

We will open another CraftInk booster pack internally and you can guess how many Common cards are included in this pack. Write us your guess in the comments and mention 2 more Hivestylers. In the next HiQs Flash, which will be published overnight week, we will announce the winners and post a proof screenshot of our pack opening. You have until the end of the countdown to take part in this competition. We will give away 6 packs among all participants.

Important note: We must insist that you read the giveaway terms and conditions carefully. Anyone who forgets to tag or types the wrong card will unfortunately no longer be considered. ★

I always enjoy reading this magazine because even though I am quite active and up-to-date on what is happening on Hive I always find some news that I was not aware of such as the game being developed.

For the giveaway this time I am not wrong by indicating the number of fillink and I say 4 common cards :)
