In this post I share the statistics of the most important APR's for the We Are Alive Tribe, some of them quite unique benefits for a tribe as well, what do you get for staking our tokens rather than selling them, enjoy!

Hi there and welcome to my blog, my name is Erik Gustafsson and I go by the handle @flaxz.

We Are Alive Tribe APR

This is my own personal opinion, do your own research before investing, and seek legal counsel if uncertain.

When determining to either sell or stake a tribe token that you are earning, one of the most important factors is what you get in return, and not just more of the same token you are staking, so here I will go through the statistics for the We Are Alive Tribe and our ALIVE and ALIVEM tokens and what kind of APR can be expected in addition to the curation rewards that you are earning.

As to curation rewards, 80% of issued tokens goes to authors/curators, and 20% goes to miners, the split between authors/curators is 50/50, and we have a linear rewards curve and a 7 day payout window as well as a 1 week unstaking period, tips for our tipping bot is paid for with tribe earnings and not printed.

Curation APR will vary a lot between individuals, and depending on many factors such as what posts and comments they vote on and if those are earning ALIVE tokens or not, plus also Voting Power, any multipliers added, etc.

A good indicator can be to see the daily stats from @lolzbot as they publish their curation APR on a daily basis, and then calculate an average over time, and thereby get a good picture of how much can be expected in Curation APR.

APR On Daily Staking Rewards

Now on to the APR for our daily staking rewards, we pay out a total of 0.43 BRO, 5 PGM, 5 LOLZ and 5 DHEDGE to ALIVE stakeholders each day, and it's based on the stake that they own, and tribe owned accounts are excluded from this payout as the tribe is who pays for the payout, plus we also have a 1 ALIVE lower cap where accounts need to have 1 ALIVE staked or more to be eligeble for our daily staking rewards.

As the decision is to either sell or stake earned ALIVE tokens then we are using the Highest Bid for ALIVE as the price, plus also the Highest Bid for the tokens we pay in daily staking rewards, and the Owned Stake is the total ALIVE stake that is rewarded with a payout.

So at the current market prices you will earn 3.22% APR for staking rather than selling your earned ALIVE tokens in addition to curation rewards, and that is if you sell the tokens paid out, several of them also pays dividends as well.

ALIVEM Mining APR

Next we will look at the Mining APR for our ALIVEM miner token, and we will use the Lowest Ask on the market as the price for ALIVEM, and the Highest Bid as the price for ALIVE, that way this is the lowest APR that you can expect if buying and staking ALIVEM.

So the lowest Mining APR that you can expect right now is 21.35% when buying and staking ALIVEM.

In addition to the Mining Rewards we also pay out a total of 0.043 AWESOME tokens to ALIVEM stakeholders each day, so that would also increase the APR a bit.

The tribe itself is currently selling ALIVEM for 20 Hive each, and that price doubles for every 1000 ALIVEM put on the market.

And ALIVE:ALIVEM Diesel Pool APR

Then we also have our ALIVE:ALIVEM Diesel Pool, and here we share the current APR stated in BeeSwap, adding liquidity to this pool will in addition to fee's also earn you daily rewards in BEE tokens.

Here we see that the current APR for adding liquidity is 91.32%, and that is paid out automatically once per day with a smart contract and in BEE tokens.

Boost Your Earnings

We also have a few contests and projects in the tribe that can allow you to boost your earnings of ALIVE and even ALIVEM.

  • On Tuesdays we have a weekly Burning Contest in @alive.chat, tribe members are voluntarily burning ALIVE tokens when promoting their posts in our tribe interface, steadily above 500 ALIVE tokens burned each week, and they then earn tickets for our weekly contest where the value of the ALIVE tokens burned in ALIVEM is the prize which is split between 4 winners, plus promoted posts may also be curated according to our vote consideration policy.
  • On Thursdays we have our weekly #AliveOnThursday Staking Contest on @flaxz, and here everyone who stakes is rewarded, either with ALIVE or ALIVEM depending on if they are below or above 1k ALIVE staked, and the total prizes are worth 1000 ALIVE tokens.
  • On Fridays we have the weekly payouts to HP and RC delegators for @youarealive, who gets rewarded with the ALIVE tokens earned on @aliveandthriving.
  • Plus on Fridays we also have the weekly payouts to ALIVE Power delegators for @aliveandthriving which is posted on @wearealive, and they get rewarded with ALIVEM equal in value to the ALIVE earned on @aliveandthriving, and using the price that the tribe is currently selling ALIVEM for (right now 20 Hive each, and it doubles for every 1000 that we put on the market).

So plenty of opportunity to boost your earnings of ALIVE and ALIVEM.

Plus our @aliveandsocial account is currently the 3rd largest stakeholder of BEE on Hive, and we manually curate the #hive-engine and #tribes tags in our tribe interface each day, to start getting BEE upvotes you need an owned stake of 100 ALIVE or more.

Thanks for sharing this post on Conversion Catalyst, @flaxz - that is where I found it. I found the info about the doubling of the Alive miners, and the liquidity pool APR very interesting! I have not yet bought any Alive miners but now I think I ought to make it a priority...

Thanks a lot David, and I am glad you like it.

The price we as a tribe sell the miners for is to ensure that they keep their value, as a progressively higher sales price creates a natural limit to the supply and keeps the Mining APR in good condition.

And the Diesel Pool is an added use case in addition to staking the tokens, and also creates it's own demand as well.
