Walking in Ha'Yovel Park - 20k activity - My Actifit Report Card: May 8 2023
Hello and welcome to yesterday's #actifit activity report¹
Yesterday was a busy day. I did a lot of errands by walking. I had the opportunity to take a detour and visit the "Ha'Yovel Park" in my hometown of Holon.
The park is located on the opposite end from where I live, near one of the city exits. It is home to sculptures from "Story Garden" series. These gardens celebrate characters from beloved children's stories.
Walking in the park
I took these photos while walking through the park. It was a cloudy day, great for walking but not for taking photos.
I loved the purple Bougainvillea flowers in the park.

The father's big umbrella
The story is about a boy named Tal who took his father's big umbrella to kindergarten while it was raining.
Side note: I was sure that the correct spelling is "kindergarden", but apparently it is german word thas is misspelled and the correct english form is "kindergarten".
The boy went outside with the big umbrella and helped all his friends along the way to get to the kindergarten safely and dry.
Dudu's Dinosaurs
The sculptures are quite big reaching a 2m hight and very colorful with bright contrasting colours. The park is open to the public for free 24/7.

These flowers come in different colors but the purple ones look best with green trees surrounding them and luckily only purple flowers grow in this park. 😀

I love to walk in this park, nature and sculptures are always interesting. Unfortunately this park is too far from my home to visit regularly.

I love these flowers. They are at full bloom, right now. The flowers are beautiful even after they fall to the ground. I will try to
capture this moment because the ground will look like it is covered with purple snow. 😀

The flowers are beautiful and at their best. They grow in different colors but with a green background the purple flowers look best.

That's such an interesting and lovely park! Thank you for sharing your walk there! I saw that color Bougainvillea for the first time, when I traveled and lived in Costa Rica. They would climb to the tops of very tall trees, which was quite a glorious sight indeed with the intense flower color, especially in the sun! 😁 🙏 💚 ✨ 🤙

You are right, usually I see the flowers of pinks and reds, purple are less common. They create a great compositions of colour and shapes with surrounding trees. I enjoy taking photos of them very much.

The purple flowers and the sculptures are really nice as they add to the aesthetic outlook of the park.
I am glad you liked the photos. I do not think that the flowers were planted intentionally but they definitely bring the park alive. A very happy coincidence 😀
