The detective genre goes hand-in-hand with the themes of mystery and suspense. The key to a good detective story is to have solvable mysteries that the characters are always one step away from solving. The setting doesn't matter in this prompt, it can be in space, or in a fantastical world. Or maybe even sometimes in the distant past., All that matters is that you tell a good detective story. 🔍

Next job, write a detective story. This could be a fun one, I might create an incident as extra background for a character I've created for some writing outside Hive (I'm foolishly thinking of writing an actual novella, just to see how it goes....).

It's actually set in the same near-future dystopian nightmare world as my last month's entry, but this time telling a story from "the other side of the fence".
This is something I like to do; write a group of different stories from the same setting, fleshing out the background and building up a cast of supporting characters. 😀
