My Actifit Report Card: April 6 2026 || IAAC DAY 1035 ||A New Chapter Begins: My Journey into Farming 🌱 Part One
Hi Hive,
This coming planting season marks a very important turning point in my life. I have made a firm decision to go deep into farming—not just as a side activity, but as something I truly want to commit to and grow. I have this mind last year but things don't work as planned due to some little challenges.
The above picture is the location I will be using for my farming and the size of the land is one acres
Recently, I took a trip to my village with the mindset of securing a land farming and I have told my dad about it beforehand and he told me to come.
Visiting my hometown wasn’t just a casual visit but it was a mission. I knew that choosing the right location would play a huge role in how successful this my farming journey would be.
When we arrived, my dad showed us the first location. While I appreciated his effort and experience, something about that particular spot didn’t sit well with me. I couldn’t fully connect with it, and deep down, I knew it wasn’t the right place for what I had in mind.
When I got home, I waste no time and me, my junior brother and my dad went together to source for the location where I will be practicing my farming for the upcoming planting season.
Am not really satisfied with the first especially due to soil texture and I suspect the land lack nutrients and not fertile.

We then moved on to the second location and immediately we got their, everything felt different. The environment, the space, the potential I could see in that land and it all just clicked. That was the moment I knew that this is it. This is where my farming journey should begin.
I expressed my thoughts, and thankfully, we all came to an agreement. Today, I’m proud to say that the land for my farming for the upcoming planting season is now secured.
This is the first location which I don't like
Now, the real work begins.
The next steps are clearing the land, preparing the soil, and putting all the necessary structures and plans in place. It won’t be easy, but I’m ready for the process. I understand that farming requires patience, consistency, and resilience but I’m fully prepared to embrace it all.
This is more than just farming for me. It’s about growth, personal growth, financial growth, and building something sustainable for the future. It’s about going back to the roots and creating value from the land.
I’m so excited, determined, and I’m ready to get my hands dirty.
This season, we plant—not just crops, but a vision.
At the end of the day, I was able to achieve over 5k actifit step counts.
