My Actifit Report Card: August 30 2026

Aldik, przynajmniej ten w naszym dawnym miejscu zamieszkania, tj. sprzed 3 dni, ma bardzo fajną ofertę jeśli chodzi o wyposażenie domów w świetlne gadżety. Aldi koło mojej mamy, ma inną ofertę. W każdym razie, udało mi się nakłonić małżonkę na to, żeby jednak pozwoliła mi wejść do Aldi spojrzeć czy są lampki do gniazdka (mamy taką jedną lampkę, która bije wszystkie inne, świeci delikatnym światłem, kiedy jest ciemno, reaguje na ruch, ma człon do zabierania z sobą). No i nabyliśmy takie dosyć podobne (w zasadzie działania) lampki. Te są, co prawda, ładowane za pomocą USB - C, ale jakby sie uprzeć można postawić bazę ładowania na kostce ładowarki. Może kiedyś tak zrobię. A na jednym ze zdjęć jest moje 'grafitti' (właść. stencil) sprzed 20 lat. Pokazałem mojej córeczce, ale chyba nie doceniła kunsztu czy innej doniosłości.

Aldi, at least the one near where we used to live — that is, where we lived until three days ago — has a really nice selection of lighting gadgets for the home. The Aldi near my mum’s has a different range. Anyway, I managed to persuade my wife to let me pop into Aldi and see if they had any plug-in lights (we have one such light that beats all the others hands down: it gives off a gentle glow when it’s dark, reacts to movement, and has a detachable part you can take with you).
And we ended up buying some fairly similar lights — at least in terms of how they work. These are charged via USB-C, but if one really wanted to, you could put the charging base on top of a USB charger. Maybe I’ll do that one day.
And in one of the photos there’s my ‘graffiti’ — or rather, a stencil — from 20 years ago. I showed it to my little daughter, but I don’t think she quite appreciated the artistry, or its wider significance.
