The last seven days were quite a bit of activity. Last Wednesday my wife flew out for a business trip to Minneapolis. We drove her to the airport and then back home with our daughter.
After a break from driving we went to our favorite Pizza restaurant Zeeks Pizza and ordered a medium pizza for two. We made it half and half as usual.

My daughter ordered her favorite Pepperoni lovers, which is basically a big overload of pepperoni on top of the red sauce cheese pizza.
And I decided to try a new pizza for me, which is called Dragon and features the following: Pepperoni, Double Italian Sausage, Fresh JalapeƱo, Fresh Garlic.

Both pizzas were a bit on a more greasy side which reminded me of the good old Pizza Hut, which I have not had in years. I wonder if it was the type of pizza we ordered or if they changed their formula.
After that we got home and watched the old Arnold Schwarzenegger movie called Kindergarten Cop. This movie first came out in 1990 and I can't believe that it is now thirty six years old!

The next day I drove our daughter to school for her last day of school. She had finished seventh grade! One more year in this school and then she will go to high-school! Time flies... in my mind she is still a little girl who loved running around the kitchen and scream "Poop, poop, poop, it's all about poop!"
She would give me a stink eye if I were to say it now or remind her. She has really grown and is going to be thirteen in less than two weeks.

While she was at school I was off work and cut the bushes in our front yard and mowed the lawn, watered my tomatoe plants and did some cleaning in the garage.
The last day while my wife was away and on the business trip we went to our local salt water pool. The pool is supposed to be heated to a tropical temperature of ninety two degrees, but unfortunately due to some maintenance issue the temperature was ten degrees lower than usual. And in 82 degrees water our daughter was able to last only half an hour instead of the usual one hour swim.

So the only tropical stuff at the pool were the decorations and the landscaping outside the pool building. Still it was good to get out for some excercise in the water.
After the pool we went to our favorite local burger place, where she had a regular cheeseburger and I had a double cheeseburger. We also ordered a banana shake to share.

Then we went home and after a little while it was time to go back to SeaTac to pick up my wife from her business trip.
On Saturday I went shopping with my wife and we got USDA Prime Ribeye steaks. Those were really nice and we grilled them while they were fresh.

What you see above is about sixty dollars worth of steak from Costco. We ate two right after grilling them and one was left over for the next day.

My wife made some mashed potatoes and a Ukrainian salad to go with the steaks. Naturally the store bought organic heirloom tomatoes are nowhere near the quality of my home grown tomatoes, but those are still around a month away from being ready.
Though they are all flowering and one called Early Girl tomatoe has a couple almost full size green tomatoes on it.

Today I was working all day trying to catch up after this mini vacation, but I am still behind and tomorrow I am going to Seattle to work at the office.
While it is going to hit my productivity as I will be mostly socializing at the office, the good news is that I will get lots of steps and am going to hit our office gym and get a really good weight lifting workout.

Cool thing that your office has a gym!
