Back to Seattle, New Pictures and Stopping by My Favorite Chocolatier

Picture above is a regular Seattle graffiti. There are a lot of graffiti like this downtown Seattle right now. This picture I took today when I walked to Frans chocolate shop to get some fresh figs filled with chocolate ganache.

Chocolate figs are some of our favorite deserts. Unfortunately they make it only around Christmas time. I would have regularly bought these year around. The figs themselves came from Turkey this year. These figs are only good for up to six days after they make them.

Frans Chocolate is right next to the Seattle art museum. Since our daughter is really into art, my wife organized us a trip to the SAM - Seattle Art Museum. So we will be going there in the near future.

At work we had only about half the people make it to the office today. We had a software engineering all hands meeting today and more than half of staff were attending it remotely via Teams.

I missed the last two weeks of in person days so I felt that it was definitely time to come in and be seen. Especially since our top management has just changed and a lot of changes are expected to take place in our organization.

Next week is another in person all staff meeting and my manager made a point that we should attend it in person as a lot of announcements will be made during it. So I will definitely be attending it.

Tomorrow is another production deployment day and since I was on vacation last week I don't really feel prepared for it. I noticed our analytics stopped working while I was out and nobody noticed. I will have to look into it and figure out why it stopped working and come up with a solution.

When I am in the office there is no time to get anything done, as everyone comes around and talking about stuff that is not work related. I guess that is collaboration 😀

The good part about going to the office is that I was able to get over seventeen thousand steps and got a weight lifting workout in!
