Barely made it to five thousand steps today. This is what happens when you take a couple of days off from work to deal with other projects.
Found this interesting tree on Whidbey Island and took a picture of it yesterday. It was a hot and sunny day, and I didn't even notice that I got sunburned. Now I have a farmers tan.
Yesterday, I had the pleasure of viewing another septic system inspection. These things are very different from one house to another. Some that were built in fifties are fairly simple.
This one is way more sophisticated with three chambers and a pump to a sand pre filter and another water chamber and the pump that pumps it back to the drainfield.
It also has to be inspected annually. The last system I had did not need anything for thirteen years.
I could hear navy jets flying in the distance above Oak Harbor as they have been practicing. The sound was very faint. Surprisingly, only fifteen minutes of driving up the island and the sound is really loud there.
We went for a short walk with my wife around the neighborhood, we were planning to go on another one, but it got dark very quickly today. The summer in Pacific Nothwest is rapidly approaching the end.
It was still very hot today, but in the evening, the temperature dropped, and they are forecasting a fifty percent chance of rain tomorrow.
Whidbey Island is really busy during the summer, I didn't fit on the ferry both there and back, and I was going off peak hours and during Tuesday.
This is very different from the times we came to the island off-season where we would always make it on the ferry and restaurants had no wait lists.
Check out what I found waiting for the ferry ride, it appears they are transporting hay to the island. Even though I saw the sign of hay for sale by the highway on the island. Maybe it is cheaper to buy hay off the island.
There is a lot of excitement in Splinterlands around the Frontier mode. I saw an official post from Splinterlands that there are more users playing the free Frontier mode than all other modes combined.
Spellbook purchases are also going up, but so far we are seeing dozens of them and not hundreds like during the last bull market in Splinterlands.
It could still happen, as ETH is very close to all time high and it touched 4,700 today. I would guess Etherium could still double from these levels, but probably not before we see a major pullback.
Normally after ETH tops out we see rotation into the large cap altcoins and the the real altcoin season with pumps in smaller coins like SPS.
And SPS is available on Base chain, but the bridge has not been integrated into Splinterlands yet.
Hopefully all that will be ready for the altcoin season. SPS moved up to .75 cent, but it still remains an underperformer compared to Etherium.

I've noticed when houses are near bodies of water like that they have to do a lot more with the septic field to ensure that it isn't contaminating the waterway.
That makes sense.
Interesting that they are transporting hay onto Woody Island. You would think it would be cost prohibitive, and local hay would be sourced firstβ¦.π€
I thought the same thing π
