My Actifit Report Card: September 16 2025 (Went to work despite the rain)

Hello everyone, welcome to my blog!

Today was one of those days where the weather was no excuse to stay home. It was pouring rain outside, like the skies were dumping all their water at once. But work doesn't stop for rain, right? I grabbed my umbrella, got myself together, and headed out to face the downpour.

I didn't drive to work today, so I had to use public transport in the rain. It wasn't the most pleasant experience, but I made it to the office. As I settled in at my desk, I knew I had a task waiting for me to attend to it, an unfinished project from yesterday. I had to get it done and done properly. So, despite the rain drumming against the office windows, I dug in and focused on wrapping up that project.

The rain didn't stop all day. If anything, it seemed to get heavier at times. But in the office, I was in my zone, trying to get everything tied up with the project. It needed my attention, and I gave it that. When my official work hours were over, I was glad to have finished the project. It was a weight off my mind.

Getting home wasn't going to be an easy one, though. Since I didn't drive, I couldn't board the public bus because I'd have to walk down to the bus stop, this would only get me soaked, so i had to book an Uber to get me through the rain-soaked streets. As I waited for my ride, I stood under the awning outside the office building, trying to stay as dry as possible. The Uber finally arrived, and I jumped in, grateful for a dry ride home. The driver navigated through the flooded roads carefully, and before I knew it, I was pulling up to my place.

It was a day when the weather was relentless, but work had to get done. I finished what needed finishing, and now I'm home, dry, and reflecting on the day. Rainy days aren't so bad when you get stuff done and get home safe.
